18.01.2022 A few years ago I knocked up this frame, for my toolbox and spare wheel, out of patio tube that I had laying around. It has served it's purpose well. Time for a new set up me thinks. Stay tuned.

14.01.2022 Next on the prospecting/relic hunting tools list, a digging trowel. Instead of paying over $70, I picked this one up from Bunnings for $3. Again I cut notches in the sides & put a sharp edge on it to assist with cutting plant roots, & applied a fresh coat of paint. So far it has been working perfectly.

12.01.2022 Well I sure had a busy weekend. Kevin needed the tray removed and the aluminium Roscos trade body fitted on his Hilux so he can get his mobile mechanic business up and running and earn some $$$. Good luck with the new venture Kevin.

05.01.2022 Third prospecting/relic hunting tool, a pickaxe for those really hard patches of ground. Prospecting stores sell their version for $119 with magnet. I went old school & picked this one up from Bunnings for $15 and used a magnet from an old car speaker.

04.01.2022 I was asked to make some budget prospecting/relic hunting tools. I started with a gardening shovel that was destined for landfill. Didn't take me long to find the weak spot in the old handle. Reshaped the good top section of the handle & oiled it, fitted a $4 D handle from Bunnings with some reinforcing underneath, cut notches in the blade section & put a sharp edge on it to assist with cutting plant roots, clean up with the wire buff, & a fresh coat of paint. Came up a treat.
