14.01.2022 ‘Lifestyle as Medicine’ - a term in a podcast I listened to recently, that really hit home to me. . Those of you who struggle with daily health issues, those who have been dealing with chronic health issues. Take a few steps back and think about what your body and soul needs first to function. .... 1. Exercise This can be a walk on the beach, gardening, fitness classes, getting outside playing with your kids - it doesn’t matter, but every day we need to move. Our body requires it. . 2. Fresh, Unprocessed, healthy food Food from the garden, the local farm - lots of veggies, good quality protein, nuts, seeds, legumes etc. Sure we have our days where it goes pair shaped, but most of the time thi can be done. The less processed your food is, the better it is for you! . 3. Water Our body requires water to function optimally - that’s it! . 4. Human Connection and Community - Food for the soul! Talk to your neighbour, your co-worker, friends, family, partners - ask questions, tell a funny story, share a cup of tea - we all need some human interaction, even if you think you don’t. . This year it was at The Green Moustache again and we loved it - we were really looked after. Covid has been tricky for business this year, but one thing I have found is that people are really making health and fitness their priority. 02.01.2022 Personal Training sessions are a great way to get yourself to the level of fitness it’s sometimes hard to get to on your own. . Focusing on nutrition as well, you can really give yourself a jumpstart. .... Sarie wants to make fitness a habit and to learn different ways to get there, through things that can be taught, but then done at home as well. . I’m very proud of this chic - she is already stronger and fitter - the results are showing already after 6 weeks. . Finding motivation for regular exercise can be hard - it’s like everything, if you don’t put the effort in you will get nowhere. . New habits take time to form - but with a routine planned and appointments to keep - you stay accountable and the rest follows. .
