25.01.2022 great day coursebuilding and judging at RHPC ribbon day! was able to take the opportunity to work Fitz in the TERRIFYING dressage arenas! really beneficial for him (14yo going on 4 -_-). The talented Allira Batstone Photography took some lovely snaps of us and cant wait to see how they turn out! And then to add to the good day I was offered a job teaching at Cherbon Waters for their school holiday camp!!! Aitkens showjumping this weekend, loving horses right now!

23.01.2022 1999 Thoroughbred Gelding by Shedad. Pre-Novice eventer training 1*, C grade showjumper (PCAQ). Fitzy has been part of the family since 2008 and he has taken me from Intro level eventing and unnoficial pony club competitions to competing Pre-Novice at State, and National Level! Honest boy who jumps ANYTHING, can be tense and excitable but say jump and he'll say how high?

22.01.2022 1998 Quater horse mare by Doubly Impressed. We bought chilli as a rising 6 year old, in heinsight we really shouldn't have bought her, she was uneducated young and we were too inexperienced for her. We were going to get rid of her only 6 months after buying her because I just couldnt handle her. Luckily something clicked and we ended up selling her 4 years later as an awesome quiet kids horse. It was an extremely sad sale as she was my first horse but I couldnt have asked for a better home.

Also exciting news as I will be starting my PCAQ level C to NCAS Preliminary transition course wednesday night. excited to further my abilities as an instructor.

18.01.2022 We came we saw we conquered. Redlands girls absolutely cleaned up at the Ned Twohill Eventing Teams competition last weekend. I had a fantastic team winning the pre-novice class. Fitzy didn't put a foot wrong despite not having jumped a cross country jump all year, comes up with a double clear! What a little champion!

16.01.2022 Very sad that the horse I was planning on looking at this week (my dream horse) got sold :'(. To someone who apparently looked ages ago but only decided to buy her now. I would have been up there with the float on if they had told me there were others interested. very upset and dissapointed :(

12.01.2022 Fitzys back to his normal awesome self as well after a not so great start to the year.

11.01.2022 UPDATE: finally the rain has kindof eased up and we have been able to head out training and competing, Fitzy out did himself at Redcliffe showjumping earlier this year pulling out some pretty impressive moves in his jump offs to place 4th pverall. Then jumped well again at Redlands Showjumping to place 2nd to a B grade horse. He didnt have a rail at wynnum jump night and came home with an aitkens rug (sadly doesnt fit :( ) but he was just an absolute lamb all night! We gave ...the showjumping a little break and headed out to Burpengary open day on saturday for some cross country training. After tackling a few excitement problems from fitzy we ended up just burling around jumping the one star course! Jumped EVERYTHING there was no stopping him (literally)!!! but before we tackle the other elements of one star (eg. breaks and dressage :P) we have PCAQ state Showjumping championships this week kicking off on Thursday. This will be our first states at C grade level so the nerves are kicking in but as long as Fitzy jumps well Ill be happy :). will keep you posted on how we are going throughout the competition.

10.01.2022 the wonderful aged pony that allowed me to have my own horses. Leased from a family friend Poppy was a dear old thing that literally taught me to ride. Unfortunately she was never putting on wight despite how much we fed her, in the end she was diagnosed with cardiovascular failure and had a large amount of fluid around her heart. She was retired on the spot and had to be put down shortly after due to a stroke. RIP beautiful girl I couldn't be more thankful of what you have given me!

07.01.2022 15 yr old 13.2hh mare. Owned by a family at pony club i took her on as a fun little project. she used to pigroot and refuse fences along with several other behavioural quirks. Little did we know that she would turn into the funnest little pony. Now belongs to the McIntyre Center - Riding for the Disabled!!!!

07.01.2022 Hey guys, Ive been offline with this for a while due to being extremely busy last year with uni. But this year will hopefully be a much better one with loads of exciting things and lots of competing :)... Update: Fitzy is feeling great jumping like a champ in hope to qualify for State showjumping in Beaudesert. He finished last year with an awesome performance at Zone Teams showjumping challenge where we contributed to the teams silver medal placing. I couldnt believe how wel...l he was jumping (and behaving!!!!!) and neither could anyone else haha. Sonic the Shetland is also coming along and we have started playing around with the idea of breaking him in, he doesnt approve but we are getting there as he is still extremely flighty and doesnt trust us yet. we are also looking after another little pony at the moment Lucy who will hopefully go to the new disabled riding center in the Redlands :). 06.01.2022 So I'm attempting to come out of hiding again from uni commitments. Pretending for a moment that I don't still have lots of prac and assessments to do still before I graduate at the end of this year. Thought I should probably introduce the new girl. Meet "Dash" (rise ofthe Phoenix), 6yo TB out of dash for cash. Finished racing 6/10/14. A very impulsive buy but so far isn't disappointing us :).
