21.01.2022 Giving my webinar presentation today for the MGAQ at 10 am - My Metropolis Journey with MG. It was meant to originally be face-to-face at a conference, but at least we have technology. Everyone is welcome to attend by accessing the link.

21.01.2022 Didn’t expect to receive this fully framed Certificate of Appreciation from the MGAQ for my presentation on My Metropolis Journey with MG!! Was really happy to have assisted and it was so well received. Thanks again for inviting me to speak MGAQ!!!

21.01.2022 Final day almost done!!! What a successful conference with attendees from 23 countries!!!! A global event demonstrating the leadership standing of the APS with our colleagues across the world. Today’s scientific offerings included - impacts of social isolation and loneliness, social determinants of physical and mental health, promoting adolescent sleep health (exploring risk and protective factors)!!! Well done APS - first and largest conference of its kind in Australia!!!

17.01.2022 Very interesting research!!!

11.01.2022 Attending the PSY2020 Advancing Psychology online conference over the next 3 days. The largest ever online conference in Australia to date, with attendees from throughout the country and across the world. Looking forward to a great scientific programme, while sitting on my couch, although missing the social interaction and networking face-to-face. Hopefully, the eyesight will cope with 3 days looking at a screen for extended periods of time!!!

11.01.2022 We often look for perfection in our lives - whether it be in our relationships, work, finances, health, or even in external matters such as our political leaders!!! Yet this perfection does not exist as we are human, and yearning for it leads to despair and suffering!!! Life is actually more like a patchwork quilt - many imperfect parts, but when combined they create something beautiful and seemingly perfect, although when looking closely some imperfections can still be seen!!! So go gently in your lives and maintain appropriate compassion for yourselves!!!

10.01.2022 Take care everyone!!!

10.01.2022 Looking for a neuropsychologist & psychiatrist (focused on compassionate and evidence-based service delivery) willing to work with individuals across the lifespan at my private practice (Burpengary East) on a sessional basis. 1-2 days per week would suffice. Secretarial support and assistance in building a caseload is available. If interested please call (07) 3186 5288 from Tuesday to Thursday each week and ask to speak with me (Dr Angelo Contarino) or my receptionist Cindy). Could my colleagues please pass this on to their networks or anyone they believe might be interested. Thanks in advance. Angelo.

04.01.2022 Day 2 Done and Dusted: Great day of scientific learning and reinforcement - PMTR approach rather than diagnosis, co-design of services and risk assessments for crisis work (support workers with consumers), disaster response and recovery (with particular focus on the climate change emergency),Gaming Disorder, and networking. Looking forward to tomorrow!!!

01.01.2022 A message from Dr Lisa Chantler, Chair-Elect of the Clinical College: I am very pleased to advise that, after several years of persistent advocacy, the Federal ...Government has tonight announced that all Australians will now see a doubling of access to Medicare-funded psychology sessions, from 10 to 20 sessions per year. Health Minister Greg Hunt confirmed in an industry webinar this evening that the additional sessions will commence from this Friday 9th October 2020, with review of a patient’s mental health care plan, or re-referral, required only at the 10-session mark, an increase from the previous requirement for re-referral after 6 sessions.
