20.01.2022 Merry Christmas and have a much happier New Year everyone. My office is closed from 24/12/2020 and reopens 11/1/2021. I think David and Margaret sum up the year that was extremely well. I hope you agree.

20.01.2022 Another interesting article- lots of analyses will be coming out now. 'But Dr Kainer says early on, the issue was more that geriatric wards weren't considered high risk environments warranting the use of N95/P2 masks, and staff wore surgical masks. Compounding that was the fact that staff who worked with older patients weren't practised in how to safely remove their PPE.... "We need to really make sure that everybody knows how to remove the personal protective equipment carefully so that they don't contaminate themselves and that they are not rushed in this'

16.01.2022 Watch and follow the journey of a vaccine from development and clinical trials to manufacturing and cold storage to vaccination

15.01.2022 We have the advantage that many millions of people overseas will get it first. We also now make vaccines according to a vaccine 'recipe' ie vaccines are built on a known templated method already trialled. So it should be safe but we also have a little time not to rush it all in.

08.01.2022 This article is unfair on GP's given they go on to quote from Academic GP's and most GP's I know are excellent and not like this. Communication regarding contraception and choices can be complex and there are many societal attitudes involved. Nonetheless there are some truths in here.

01.01.2022 Cath Murphy and I were in China together for SARS 1. She taught me most of what I know about the practicalities around PPE which is why I care so much it and how health care workers are taught to think about is and use it. Some great suggestions in this article. Thanks Cath.
