23.01.2022 The Flu vaccine will be available as of next week. It is strongly recommended that all pregnant women, those over 65, health care workers and immunosuppressed get the flu vaccine. It is free from your GP or pharmacy. Check with your GP as to when they have it in their practice. Its also a good idea for those women wanting to fall pregnant to consider getting the vaccine too.

12.01.2022 I have always placed great importance on mental health reviews during and after pregnancy and am pleased that the government is considering a proposal to introduce free mental health assessments. We all know that mental health issues are traumatising to the individual and is too often suffered in silence. The highest risk period is postpartum where patient risk being lost to follow up. Take the time to ask "how are you feeling/coping?"... Beyondblue.org.au

05.01.2022 Dont forget your Boostrix vaccine when you are 28 weeks pregnant! (Earlier if expecting an earlier delivery). Its a good time to have that with your fluvaccine. Partners and carers of the newborn should get a booster if they havent had one within 8 years.
