21.01.2022 Spring has sprung. Thank you so much for this gorgeous reminder.

19.01.2022 Oh Genevieve, this is just adorable. I am missing the postnatal baby snuggles so much. COVID has really changed things for everyone!

19.01.2022 To all my patients, As you may be aware, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has just announced new quarantine requirements for travellers returning to Australia due to the escalation of the COVID19 crisis. Despite rebooking my flight for an earlier arrival, the mandatory self-isolation period will impact my ability to care for some of you. I will land in Australia on the 18th of March, and will be allowed into the workplace on April 1. Those with clinic or surgery appointments w...ill be contacted and rescheduled, or have appointments with our midwife or Dr Gale on a case by case basis. All gynaecology will need to be postponed until I am able to return. I am currently well, have had no known contact with any infected person, and have practiced social distancing and hand washing and sanitising frequently. In the unlikely event that I become unwell on return, I will present for testing, and this may altar my return date. My primary concern is the health and well-being of you and your baby. I am personally devastated to know that this will mean that I will not be there to support some of you through your deliveries. Dr Pip Gale will kindly cover my absence for as long as required. In the meantime, it is imperative to minimise the chance of infection. Although there is no evidence that pregnant woman have a higher risk of infection, or a worse outcome if infected we need to take every precaution to minimise risk. Can we please ask: - increase distance between seating in waiting room - minimise presence of support team at appointments - decrease in non-essential surgery - frequent hand-washing - decrease in non-essential consultations - consultation via Skype or telephone on request - refrain from attending if fever, cough, sore throat or unwell -refrain from attending if travel within 14 days and please phone instead Additional information for pregnant women about COVID-19 from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists available here: https://ranzcog.edu.au/statements-guidel/covid-19-statement If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to call our rooms on 1300 971 265 or email Ashley on [email protected]

13.01.2022 Valentine’s Day was eventful for me this year. My husband, who takes on board everything I say, gave me gifts I’ve always wanted from childhood. So, look out for my little friend during visits, because this year I got a Bearded dragon and LEGO!

11.01.2022 Beardy is wondering when she can come back and visit the office. Everyone has done such an amazing job with social distancing. Hopefully we can bring back the furniture and partners soon

09.01.2022 I was a big skeptic when I was invited to train in robotic assisted surgery. Why spend all that extra money on fancy instruments when I can do my surgery with bipolar and scissors? An average uterus is the size of a cricket ball. This uterus was as big as a watermelon.... Cases like this are the reason I have become obsessed with da Vinci (the robot). This uterus was removed keyhole, with the assistance of the robot, and my lovely patient is sitting up eating and drinking and asking to go home within hours. (this patient kindly consented to the use of these images)

09.01.2022 Draw me like one of your French girls

08.01.2022 Thank you Dr Karen Williams for your tireless efforts in raising awareness for the issue of violence against women.

03.01.2022 Doing some research whilst I’m in Las Vegas! It was hilarious.

03.01.2022 I’m so proud of our college RANZCOG for being so proactive with resource development and information during the current COVID crisis. Here’s the latest statement.....
