22.01.2022 In light of the recent changes in Victoria and the strong recommendations to wear a mask in supermarkets and places where it is hard to social distance, we will have surgical masks available to purchase from reception for 0.80 cents a mask. We hope this helps some people source masks more readily. We still have masks available for patients at the front door who are exhibiting flu like symptoms for no charge. The small amount charged for these masks will go back into purchasing more to help keep our patients and our community safe.

22.01.2022 In our continuing effort to keep all we can safe we have changed our COVID19 protocol PLEASE TAKE NOTE

22.01.2022 We are currently still having issues with our phones, we have a technician coming on Wednesday to try and fix the issues. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we know that this is a very frustrating situation

This applies to current patients of Dr Perera's surgery but we are still taking new patients at our clinic. Our doors are still open for face to face consults for patients that do need them, but for more vulnerable patients we are very happy to be able to provide these telehealth services. Please give us a call to see how we could help you on 69421011

08.01.2022 There have been no positive results for COVID-19 among patients who have been tested in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD). MLHD is well prepared to... care for people who may be diagnosed with COVID-19. 70 specialist nurses and nurse educators from across the District together with staff from partner organisations have undertaken training to refresh their skills in infection control and public health measures. The nurses will be out and about in our hospitals providing support to front-line staff to maximise the safety of healthcare workers and the community. In order to slow the spread of the virus, members of the community play an important role. People are asked to ensure they clean their hands thoroughly and regularly, avoid close contact with others. Members of the public are urged to avoid visiting loved ones in aged care facilities and hospitals if they have any symptoms of cold or flu. NSW Health is recommending people with acute, cold, flu-like symptoms who are returned travellers, or have been in contact with a confirmed case, be tested for COVID-19. Samples for testing can be taken directly by GPs, or at Wagga Wagga and Griffith Base Hospital screening clinics. People who are concerned are advised to: call HealthDirect 1800 022 222, where a nurse will triage them over the phone and advise as needed or contact your GP to arrange an appointment and let them know in advance if you have symptoms (Symptoms might include fever, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath). TIPS to reduce potential for transmission of the virus: avoiding crowds and mass gatherings avoiding small gatherings in enclosed spaces keep a distance of 1.5 metres between themselves and other people avoiding shaking hands, hugging, or kissing other people avoiding visiting vulnerable people, such as those in aged care facilities or hospitals. MLHD and Murrumbidgee PHN encourage members of the public who need information to visit the NSW Health website at: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/diseases

06.01.2022 Something as simple as sharing a pen or a menu, can lead to the spread of COVID-19. Dont forget to wash your hands to protect you and your loved ones. Its up to all of us to keep healthy and well. https://www.nsw.gov.au/c/how-to-protect-yourself-and-others

04.01.2022 Due to Dr Grace's illness we will not have a Doctor this week. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Hopefully Dr Grace will be feeling better and be back on board next week. 04.01.2022 COVID19 SCREENING COULD SAVE LIVES | We're urging people who have symptoms of COVID-19 to come forward to be screened for testing. Large-scale COVID-19 testing ...allows health services to quickly identify who has the disease & arrange for them to receive the care needed. Isolating known cases prevents them from coming into contact with others and slows the rate of transmission. Murrumbidgee Local Health District invites anyone who believes they may have contracted the COVID-19 virus to call the Murrumbidgee COVID-19 Hotline on 1800 831 099 for a confidential over the phone assessment (7.00 am 9.00 pm).
