12.01.2022 PARVO ALERT Valued clients we have breaking news on a new Parvovirus strain that has emerged in Australia recently. The new strain Canine Parvovirus 2c Subtype, was first described in Europe in 2000 and has since become widespread round the world, recently being detected in dogs in Australia.... THE GOOD NEWS The vaccine used by Dr Tom covers the new strain, as long as you keep up to date with the annual vaccination recommendation of ALL dogs. Puppies will be fully covered against the new stain, as long as they receive the 3 vaccine regime as follows 1st vaccine at 6-8 weeks of age 2nd vaccine at 10-12 weeks of age 3rd vaccination must be given at 16 weeks to gain full Parvovirus immunity. Any puppy or young adult that has not received a 16 week booster, should have a booster. Regards Tom McClelland B.V.Sc.

08.01.2022 Cat flu is highly contagious and can cause severe illness, especially in elderly cats or kittens. Vaccination is very effective and while it won't always prevent cats from developing flu, it helps reduce the severity of the condition. Call us today to make sure your cat is protected.

02.01.2022 On a lighter note

01.01.2022 1st August, nearly Spring. Just to remind me, today I was cycling in the lovely sun and got swooped on my first Magpie of the year !! Most attacks are just friendly warnings, but then there is the scary ones where the male magpie actually hits you, and can draw blood. One hit me once, with such ferocity that i thought i had been hit me with a stone ! Anyway on a good note, at least this signals the promise of warmer weather and all the cyclists will just have to grin and bear the attacks until November.
