24.01.2022 What’s your plan for the long weekend? Dr Lighten is pitching a tent in the backyard because Mrs Lighten is suffering from cabin fever. Dr Lighten’s commitment to his patients means EPU and OPU must go on even on public holidays. His insistence often leaves them with limited time away. ... To make it up to Mrs Lighten, they’ll be camping in the backyard during the long weekend. However, there will be no BBQ marshmallow for Mrs Lighten- PCOS patients must adhere to limited sugar intake, even on holiday

21.01.2022 Our practice is currently closed. In order to provide great patient care continuously, Dr Lighten and staffs are taking a short break to recharge from 9nd July to 22nd July. Please call Genea Northwest to speak to your IVF nurses if you have any enquiries regarding your cycle. For non-IVF patients, our hardworking, trusty receptionist Amanda will be in on every Wednesday from 9am to 3pm during the break if you need to speak to someone. Otherwise, please leave a message on our answering machine. We endeavour to return your call during regular business hours upon our return.

12.01.2022 Happy birthday to Dr Lighten! Last year he was given a miracle rainbow baby- his very first child as a belated birthday present after Mrs Lighten struggled with years of infertility. This year he started his birthday by marking another milestone with Kit who will be turning one in a week. With mixed emotions, he dropped her off to her first day in daycare. ... Dr Lighten’s 10-12 hours of work means he often may not see her before bedtime. Not wanting to miss out on Kit’s growing up, he wakes up at 5am everyday just so he can spend 2 hours of quality time with her (often involves singing along with The Wiggles). From now on, he’ll be dropping her off to ELC and then school for the next 17 years. Every doctor is just another human like you and I. This is Dr Lighten’s life as a doting father. (Yes, he changes nappies most of the time and is quite experienced with pooplosion. ) We want you to know that we too, had been through the same struggle as you. You are not alone in this journey. And yes, there is always light at the end of the tunnel (although the light may come in more than one way). If you’re seeing Dr Lighten today, please kindly wish him happy birthday.

06.01.2022 Today is Dr Lighten’s day off. It’s currently 6:40pm and he’s still working. Thursday is the day Dr Lighten churns through medical records of upcoming patients for the next week, writes medical reports and keeps up with the latest researches in the field.
