07.01.2022 The new Osce stations 1-(information gathering) parent worried about her 5 yr old daughter who got swelling n discomfort (some described abcess) in 75 that has large composite filling, and has multiple fillings in alot of her primary teeth that was done by a school dentist (most probably mobile dental clinic) Parent is wondering why she needed all these fillings even though make a sure not to give any sugar in the child's diet... 2- (information gathering) patient is here today with a toothache ,not interested in saving the tooth and wants to remove the tooth, however wants diazepam as 3 years ago he did the same due to his anxiety. 3- (diagnoses and management) you do a filling on a patient last week and you give LA IANB. the treatment itself was uneventful, however patient returns one week later with Hematoma, muscle spasm and trismus. (It specifically mentions that this is from a poor LA technique you did, or caused by the LA) Just explain the diagnosis and treatment options , referring and follow up 4- (diagnoses and management) Patient with chronic generalised perio, patient presented with wobbly teeth, opg given , perio treatment plan and explanation needed and discuss what the specialist might do for treatment 5- (clinical treatment and evaluation) nurse who is here today for an extraction of 16 or 26 but wants to know more about OAC (oro-antral communication) and wants to know about infection control protocols in the clinic on how to prevent HIV and hepatitis transmission. 6- (clinical treatment and evaluation) Teenage boy, drinks alot of fizzy drinks ,brings the diet chart with him (it's caries risk assessment and diet analysis and modification.)
