07.01.2022 TEAR TROUGHS * Hollowing under the eyes is a key sign that a person is ‘tired’ or ‘worn out’ - which is unfair because they might not actually be feeling that way! * Filling the hollows with dermal filler can smooth over the transition between the mid-cheek and tear trough (see arrows), giving a fresher appearance. ... * Unfortunately, as I’m sure all my injecting colleagues will agree, it is difficult to capture this in a photograph. You can appreciate the results much better in real life! * The typical client will require 1/2ml to fill each trough. The worse thing you can do is over-fill the area (and give someone baggy eyes), so it is better to under-fill at a first appointment, aiming to top-up as required at a second. * The filler can be deposited using either a sharp needle or a blunt cannula. I’m Dr. Adam Brown (as you might already know )... I completed my medical training in the UK, where I worked as a doctor for ten years. During this time, I developed a passion for cosmetic medicine & skin cancer surgery, in which I sub-specialised. This prompted my move to Sydney, Australia, where I was able to expand my scope of practice. My clients’ results prove that I have a good eye for what beauty is and means in 2021.
