24.01.2022 The Golden Dragons and Dragons Abreast Come and Try day will be on for Springfest tomorrow and it looks like it will be a fine day. The boat will depart at 11am 1pm and 3pm. Come and see us at the boat shed opposite Nazareth House and we’d love to give you a paddle on the lake. Please call in 30 minutes prior to get some instruction from our wonderful coach Magie Guy

20.01.2022 The Carrum regatta yesterday was a wonderful event and a great way to end the year. It was good to challenge ourselves starting with the 2km race, the 200ms and 500m. An amazing effort by all. Thanks once again to DA Ballarat for teaming up with us - you are awesome.

20.01.2022 No paddling/training tomorrow the 3rd of March, Lake Wendouree is closed for the Vic Rowing Championships. However, our usual breakfast get together is on 9.00am at the Boatshed Resturant on Wendouree Pde. New or interested paddlers very welcome to come along and join us.

18.01.2022 Well done to the combined team of Waratahs Gippsland, DA Warrnambool, DA Ballarat and Golden Dragons. The first official event for the season,’BOB’ is a 5.8km, 2-turn race on the Barwon River in Geelong. We placed third in the women’s division in 34.09mins - not for the faint hearted!

17.01.2022 A fabulous day at the Horsham regatta today. A great team effort and result - third in both events. A big thank you to Ann and Pauline from Dimboola for joining us in the Masters tens and to Zonda and Rhonda from Dragon Masters for joining us in the Premiers tens - ladies you rock! Paul your drumming and experience drove us home, thank you. Congrats to Deborah Fulton on completing stage 2 of the sweeps course. Also a big thanks again to DA Ballarat for organising a bus and congrats on a great effort today - ladies you were awesome!

16.01.2022 .....and we’re back!! What a great start to the new season. With weather like this we look forward to our Saturday training sessions and welcome all our paddlers back. This is also the best time for new paddlers to come and try dragon boating - each Saturday 8.30am for a 9am start for one hour from the Wendouree rowing club - red door. Today we had a great combined session with our Dragons Abreast mates.

15.01.2022 Winter is coming .... Golden Dragons will be off the water until 13 July. We have two very exciting regattas in early June in China and on the Ord River in WA, taking a number of our paddlers away from Ballarat. The best of luck to all participants we are so proud of you.

13.01.2022 It’s hard to beat a beautiful day for dragon boating on lake Wendouree but this weekend we’re off to Adelaide for the Masters Games. Next week training will commence on Tuesday nights 5.30pm for 6pm start and of course we’ll be back to normal Saturday training at 8.30am for 9am start. New paddlers most welcome.
