23.01.2022 Saying my final goodbye today to the beautiful space the Dragonfly Community Gallery was set-up in on Queen Street Campbelltown, with much love and thanks to Susanne @themeditationspace It was sad pulling everything down and cleaning up the last bits and pieces... However, the silver lining is that I was very blessed to be able to provide opportunities for art and the community And it’s not goodbye forever, because who knows where I’ll pop up next with another project! To be continued ... !!! @kerrieabello #art #artist #artwork #gallery #dragonfly #community #themeditationspace #goodbye #queenstreet #campbelltown #macarthur #dragonflycommunitygallery

11.01.2022 Covid19 exhibition to come I will be putting a call out soon for a covid19 exhibition. I haven’t organised the call out just yet but would love to give everyone a ‘heads up’ that this is coming! I will be looking at entries that relate to your interpretation or feelings about covid19 and the impact it has had, for you. Group art is also welcome! ... Works will need to be recent and related (of course), and there will be a small entry fee. If unable to properly exhibit will look at a possible virtual exhibition, requiring some good background information from the artists and potential video explaining your artwork! You can remain anonymous as well as it may be confronting showing vulnerability and emotions through art. I anticipate a call out will be in the next 2 weeks... Keep an eye out for it! Suggestions welcome, please email: [email protected] Thank you #art #exhibition #covid19 #artwork #artist #feeling #interpretation #callout #calloutcoming #bereadytoenter #dragonfly #community #gallery #macarthur #campbelltown #local #supportlocal #showcase #covid19exhibition #share #dragonflycommunitygallery

02.01.2022 Good bye ... for now! I’ve decided it’s time to close the doors on this gallery space at Shop 22, 156 Queen Street, Campbelltown I was hoping for a final exhibition and last hurrah but Covid had other ideas (!) so will bow out quietly ... It’s been such a great experience running the gallery, I’ve met some amazing artists and revelled in their works, sold works, run some great exhibitions and been able to give people opportunities to see their works hung I’m hoping in the future to source another space to run Dragonfly Community Gallery again (however this artist needs a bit of R&R for the moment) You never know where Dragonfly Community Gallery will pop up next Thank you so very much to Susanne at The Meditation Space for giving me the opportunity to run this space. Thank you to those who have exhibited, performed, catered and been supportive of this space. Your contribution to the community and the arts is so valued Thank you Macarthur Until next time Kerrie xo #art #artwork #gallery #community #space #close #covid #dragonfly #themeditationspace #arts #thearts #macarthur #queenstreet @themeditationspace #campbelltown #sydney #thankyou #dragonflycommunitygallery
