25.01.2022 Swapped a dirt road this morning for a highway and I followed the light! Wowsa, what a glorious morning it is.

24.01.2022 A joy filled and a very deeply loving article regarding aging. Not only is aging associated with pots of lotions and potions but the posting of altered selfies to make younger women in particular, look ridiculously different to how they truly are is a hiddeous trend as well. We have created an ideal that only the young are worthy of titles such as beautiful, bright, stunning - the list goes on but it is all in reference to the body with no regard for the timeless being within:

23.01.2022 Fences linked with cobwebs, golden light spreading across the land and a gentle veil of fog stretching over contours of undulating land. And then there's windmills. What a spectacular county scene it was this morning.

23.01.2022 HAVE A CUPPA WITH ME: (be prepared...it may take a while and it may change your perspective on how you are living) I shared a cuppa on two separate occasions this week with the same topic randomly arising and being put ' on the table' for open discussion and so I felt to share with you all: The topic was regarding abuse: ...Continue reading

22.01.2022 Uncomplicated. A fog bow making an entrance against a clear blue sky and complimented by fabulous tones of grass land. Don't just be a visitor in the natural world - blend with it and become part of.

22.01.2022 What an extraordinary morning! The light at present, be it early morning or late afternoon, offers a beauty across the landscape like no other time of year. This morning, along with a veil of fog, a blanket in some areas, was just glorious.... Along with hay bales, windmills and fog bows it was a breath taking start to the day. It fills me up with a feeling of coming home, of being part of the whole - of understanding that I am integrated in the entire experience. I would not have liked to miss this morning celebration for anything.

22.01.2022 Laugh of the day though in truth, the animal world are not falling for this food addiction unlike humans. Not only are we allowing ourselves to be answerable to the illegal drug trade and the prescribed drug organisations along with the alcohol train (and there are plenty more options on offer), there's the food we consume excessively. Not because we are hungry but because we choose to numb ourselves with whatever we can get our hands on.... Perhaps the saddest part of this is hearing our justification for such behaviours. The emptiness that needs comforting. With a massive rise in weight issues and all that comes with that - diabetes, heart issues ... its a long list...the cost to countries to meet medical needs has become an equally massive issue. Its costing the world health departments millions of dollars, its costing our bodies much more than money and the cost to our lives immeasurable.

21.01.2022 Good morning All. Pretending there are grey areas in life is just an avoidance of recognising the black and white of the situation - Its either truth or a lie... Healing or harming Loving or unloving There are no grey areas up the middle

21.01.2022 Spring - its a glorious time of year when new life begins again, a regeneration from dormancy, a resurgence of green from the brown. The sound of birds starts early - 2am, 4am .... whenever the joy strikes them it seems. The hiss-rattle-cackle (best i can describe) of a possum warning another under the window during the night and scampering of who knows what along the verandah. It seems Spring brings us all out to play regardless of the hour.... The green is illuminous after the brown. Illustrious to say the least. Eyes need time to adjust - squinting, and drinking in the magnificence at the same time, not wanting to miss a moment of it. The early morning light across the garden is unique this time of year. And in the late afternoons, when day is done, when the days labouring has wearied one, the light is restful but still magnifies the gifts of life, reflects off shiny green growth and highlights new buds ready to burst open in following days. Blue skies above, lush green below and what a pleasure to be sandwiched between the two.

21.01.2022 Oh my goodness.... filters and selfies. What is the underlying issue going on here? Why is it that the face on fb is not the face behind the door when we knock?... There's something very deep and ugly occurring that women, in particular, need to create a new and false image of themselves for the world to believe that's how they look! Its a cheap option to a face lift ..... Until it gets to a point where the photo needs to be their reality. And still they will feel the emptiness that has not been addressed! That they feel they are not enough in their own skin is deeply troubling for a society that is still giving out the message that women must look a certain way to be accepted. Quit faking it ladies....time to get real.

21.01.2022 "The greatest delight which the fields and woods minister, is the suggestion of an occult relation between man and the vegetable. I am not alone and unacknowledged. They nod to me, and I to them. The waving of the boughs in the storm, is new to me and old. It takes me by surprise, and yet is not unknown. Its effect is like that of a higher thought or a better emotion coming over me, when I deemed I was thinking justly or doing right." -- from "Nature" by Ralph Waldo Emerson, first published anonymously in 1836.

20.01.2022 This morning, in early light, these dandelions caught my attention. They also reminded me of a quote by Leonardo da Vinci: 'The wisest and noblest teacher is nature itself.'... This exquisite and mathematically drawn dandelion is by artist Giovani Cera - mathematics is everywhere in the universe, from the minutest to the largest.

19.01.2022 "Nature is beautiful as in repose, not promising a higher beauty to-morrow. Her actions are level to one another, and so are never unfit or inconsistent." So much to constantly learn and be reminded of through nature. Henry David Thoreau, Journal, 7-10 March 1841... Photo by Julie King See more

18.01.2022 The wise man is restful, never restless or impatient. He each moment abides there where he is, as some walkers actually rest the whole body at each step, while others never relax the muscles of the leg till the accumulated fatigue obliges them to stop short. As the wise is not anxious that time wait for him, neither does he wait for it. -Henry David Thoreau from the Journals, September 17, 1839

17.01.2022 I spotted a woman walking on the footpath as I drove through town today and she made me smile ... all over.i was drawn to her. I could feel in that moment that she knew herself well. She knew all women well. She was gorgeous. Not in a glamorous way.... Not in a way that put other women down. But in an inspiring way. In a way that spoke to all women 'come join me, let's move together in this way that connects us all'. Equally. In a simple way. Beauti-fully. With no attachments. And she shone so brightly in dull clothing in a dull moment of the day in a very ordinary setting Leaving energetic footprints for others to walk upon that they too might feel their own worth and share it with the world. 16.01.2022 Moments like these lead to Mornings like this Leads to Days like that.......... Enjoy your day Shine your light brightly through the fog And make the day count.

16.01.2022 Good morning All, What a gorgeous pink glow we were blessed with this morning at first light over most of the sky. My favourite little spot to catch the early morning light never seems to disappoint. There is much movement in the offer of repose at sunrises and sunsets if one care to be aware.

16.01.2022 So enjoying the incredible Spring blooms this year. I just can't get enough of them. And I don't know if it's because brown and dust was last year's theme or if the plants are doing their own celebration and are twice as prolific this year. Maybe its a combination - Regardless, as magnificent as Autumn was,... as incredible as Winter magic was, Spring splendor is being well appreciated as well. These blooms are so delicious, so delicate. What a stunning season it is and what a fabulous reflection to us all. See more

15.01.2022 Welcome to the first day of Spring! Each season brings a vibration of its own but for many people, Spring brings a feeling of coming out from Winter hybernation with a freshness. There is that innate 'need' to Spring clean .... Out with the old and in with the new.... Its about flinging open the windows again, stripping back the layers of clothing and cleaning windows. There are new buds in the garden and new lambs in the paddock. In truth though, there is no beginning point in our continuous cycle around the sun and yet, perhaps if there was, Spring may well mark it. After weeks of chill, battling the elements in shorter days and with less natural light we finally start to warm again and the light of day stretches longer and is brighter. The unfurling of buds brings a glory of its own through and those that watch in amazement are reminded of their own unfurling and innate beauty. What a gorgeous time of year it is. Autumn and Winter this year, I felt, were spectacular with incredible hues the like of which I personally have not witnessed prior. The fogs were divine, the frosts amazing and the rising sun beyond belief most days with sunsets that reflected heaven on Earth many times over. I'm curious to see what Spring will deliver. See more

13.01.2022 "I must walk more with free senses. It is as bad to study stars and clouds as flowers and stones. I must let my senses wander as my thoughts, my eyes see without looking. Carlyle said that how to observe was to look, but I say that it is rather to see, and the more you look the less you will observe. I have the habit of attention to such excess that my senses get no rest, but suffer from a constant strain. Be not preoccupied with looking. Go not to the object; let it come to you. When I have found myself ever looking down and confining my gaze to the flowers, I have thought it might be well to get into the habit of observing the clouds as a corrective; but no! that study would be just as bad. What I need is not to look at all, but a true sauntering of the eye." -From Thoreau's Journal; September 13, 1852.

11.01.2022 To stay strong To steady after a wobble Align to the inner Stillness And know its sacredness To not be drawn into reaction... But to call out the untruths To show another way By your own livingness Observe But not absorb Holding the space is enough When words are not necessary Never let your own light Be dimmed by another See more

11.01.2022 An early morning wander along country roads with the sun just rising over the horizon, Pretty Faced Wallaby fleeing from my impending arrival and kookaburras perched on mossy timber railings. Tenterfield, you are so beautiful through my eyes but no two people see exactly the same at the exact moment - how open we are to what is truly there is an individual response.

10.01.2022 Did you want to see me broken? Bowed head and lowered eyes? Shoulders falling down like teardrops, Weakened by my soulful cries?... Does my haughtiness offend you? Don't you take it awful hard ’Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines Diggin’ in my own backyard. #MayaAngelou #StillIRise This quote was in my news feed this morning and a timely reminder that there are those amoungst us whose aim is to detract others from being all they can be, to distract them off the path and create self doubt and aversion in their minds. All the more reason to stay steady in the face of chaos and not be swayed by another's hidden agenda regardless of the position they hold. Stay strong when they want you to be subservient and tread your path lightly.

08.01.2022 This is something ALL women need to hear, more importantly, need to understand: A powerful women, as depicted in modern terms, betrays her of the true innate power she actually holds. The ideal that a powerful woman is a multitasking high profile female at the top of her game disregards the quality of inner authority a woman can hold in her Stillness. Being a powerful woman has nothing to do with her so called achievements, title or acquisitions but it has everything to do w...ith her connection to the her steadiness and ability to commitment to simply being. Allowing stop moments allows space to feel the truth of what you about to say yes to. See more

08.01.2022 A freshness in the air and a cleanliness everywhere this morning after yesterday's rain. The fog gently placed its blanket over areas creating an ethereal picture this morning. A velvety cushion creeping quietly across the land.... What a difference this little town has experienced since last year when dust and smoke was the daily theme for weeks on end. We are a resilient and wonderful little town and an incredible community of humans.

07.01.2022 "It's the beauty within us that makes it possible for us to recognize the beauty around us. The question is not what you look at but what you see." - Henry David Thoreau What an absolute delight and one I truly appreciate, to be in the company of this Ulysses Butterfly.... Despite her beautiful wing being damaged and possibly shortening her life, I was truly taken aback when I viewed this photo and saw the light above her and other reflected butterfly forms around her!! There is even light shining into her damaged wing See more

07.01.2022 Country roads, early morning fog and golden light. Speechless but my heart is captured in the scene. An ample share of light across the globe this morning.

06.01.2022 Another day of waking up to the total disregard in leadership positions, total disregard of human rights, political maddness and hidden agendas and deceit ... All in a world of chaos. We're being told to 'mask' who we truly are - our potential as amazing beings. Being told to leave loved ones to die alone and isolate from each other.... Businesses are collapsing so our ability to take care of ourselves and each other is diminishing, mental health and suicide is rising ridiculously every day but wait ..... The footy must go on!!! If this does not ring loud alarm bells then I don't know what will. Statistics don't add up, doctors speaking out are being shut down, policing rights are out of control, we cant cross lines on maps or bring children home where they belong. But wait.....the footy must go on!! So where do we take our frustration? What do we do with our horror at watching disgraceful behaviour of people in authority who are totally misusing their positions? My suggestion is this: Be willing to observe without reaction. Really see what is occurring and don't be curtailed by what the media maybe feeding us. Ask questions, do your own research and ask yourself, 'is what's happening healing or harming?' Be aware of what is unfolding and take nothing at face value. And most importantly: Dig deeper within yourself. Live the love you are in fullness. Go gently in everything you do. Be the change you want in the world.

06.01.2022 I like this particular quote that presented on my feed this morning. The majority of us are ignorant to energy and certainly so with our choices of music and songs we play and how, on an energetic level, music can indoctrinate and impermiate every cell of our body. Its no different to choosing the food we consume. ... We literally consume the energy of the music and, a more sobering fact is that we consume the energy the music and lyrics were written in - i.e, if they were created from an artist high on drugs or alcohol at the time of creating that piece we are playing then yes, we are inviting that energy into our space and into our bodies! An inconvenient truth for the many who play music unconsciously to dull their day while they work and play. Frankly, its difficult to avoid the ingestion of certain music given the places it is now played - the supermarket, the mall, the work place. No one asks if we want it or indeed, what we want, its just played. If you have been fortunate to shop when the music is turned off for the 2 hours in Coles each week, you will discover a new shopping experience. Its calmer, flows smoother and the whole shopping chore is a less distracted affair. We do know how certain pieces incite aggression and some calms us down but the subtle pieces can be just as loaded as the loud, brash, more obvious tracks. Discerning energy is a great start to true self care

06.01.2022 I don't have a great garden but I have gorgeous blooms among the weeds and I don't always make great choices but I have great moments in my life too. The garden is slowly being re established just as I am constantly working my way back to me. I weed and I mulch with what I feel the soil needs at the time and with what my body requires too with food.... I have mulched with what I thought looked good but it may not have had a quality that truly served the soil or plants but hey, if it 'looked' good ....... An ideal, a picture without substance. I have been there and left unsatisfied. I grew up gardening with my grandmother. That in itself was a joy but the real joy was from that tender age I came to realise that the lessons, the reminder points, the reflections I needed in my life were right there in the garden and in the outside world. The forever student continuing her classes as she heads out the door with garden gloves and secateurs and returns with a lighter heart and another bouquet of flowers and understandings.

05.01.2022 Recently, in an op shop, I found a wonderful little green glass circular vase for all of $2. When I arrived at the counter to pay, I was asked what it was. I answered a vase but really what i was thinking was much more than 'just' a vase and yesterday I had a little play with tiny roses. Its just the beginning of future joy this little find will bring. I love that it is circular - no beginning and no end.... No start point and no finish line. Like all in the universe, it represents the continuous cycles, the coming and going, the permiance of every thing in constant cycling motion. What a gorgeous little find. See more

04.01.2022 Fog bows, rising sun sharing its rays across sleepy hollows and open spaces and a quiet stillness that offers a reflection to take that stillness into our day. Another gorgeous Spring morning in Tenterfield. The seasons have been extraordinarily this year I feel. There's a deepening appreciation from me but there appears to be a richness to the past Autumn and Winter that has not been there previously. Spring too, has offered a grandness that cannot be denied.... Seeing with a heart wide open definitely improves ones sight See more

03.01.2022 Good morning all. Dirt tracks leading to adventures, rising sun welcoming in the new day through the eucalypts and old fences covered in lichen ..... Throw in ...a windmill or two and hay bailed up in a paddock and you've got my attention. Not to mention the other end of the day with a sinking sun, a splendid sunset and a water reflection. Tenterfield, you are splendid in so many ways. See more

02.01.2022 It has come to this, that the lover of art is one, and the lover of nature another, though true art is but the expression of our love of nature. A quote by Henry David Thoreau from The Journals - October 9, 185 A beautiful morning to post a beautiful capture of Magnolia Elizabeth.... She's like a painting with a scent that is surely gifted from heaven.

02.01.2022 Tracks and roads leading us to destinations sometimes unknown, sometimes with expections and taking with it ideals and beliefs that don't deliver. Other roads with poor foundations, potholed and rough on the edges and dangerous to travel, for the reckless only. Meandering tracks lined with gifts too many to mention, trodden previously by the wise, left hidden from those not searching but obvious to those with eyes open. Roads dark and submerged by overgrowth where fear driven feet will tentatively tread while others roads are lined with trees that let the light shine through will lead us, with trust in our hearts, to places we never thought we could go.
