16.01.2022 Dragon NRG engages in direct action in the abatement of global greenhouse gas emissions by installing specialised equipment for heat energy production from biomass. Four objectives underpin the vision of Dragon NRG: 1. Displace the use of fossil fuels by installing specialised boilers designed to burn biomass for heat production.... 2.Reduce energy costs for businesses and individuals currently paying high prices for heat derived from fossil fuels. 3. Source waste biomass for fuel thereby relieving pressure on landfill facilities and reducing the potential for release of greenhouse gases associated with natural (especially anaerobic) decomposition or combustion for disposal purposes. 4. Maximise community benefit through creation of jobs, investment opportunities and direct links with community facilities such as hospitals or public buildings. See more

07.01.2022 Pyrenees Timber is a family owned business that has been sawing hardwood timber since 1956. Prior to March 2015 they were generating heat for their timber drying kiln from an old briquette boiler which cost in excess of $80,000 each year to run. They now have a gleaming new 240kW biomass boiler supplied and installed by Dragon NRG that enables them to burn their own wood waste instead. The fuel bill for heating their kiln is now almost zero. They also supply biomass for fuel to other businesses including Beaufort Hospital, who installed a 110kW boiler to heat their facility. So, as well as saving heaps of money they have stopped using a fossil fuel, slashed their greenhouse emissions, made productive use of a waste product and developed a market for a new product!

05.01.2022 The examples described in this article in the Financial Review show clearly that biomass energy can greatly reduce operational costs and even save companies from going under.

03.01.2022 A Bendigo-based energy business has been nationally recognised for innovation in cutting down gas prices and emissions. Its most recent work saw a biomass boiler on the farm of one of Australias most sought-after cheeses.

02.01.2022 So, heres a bit of detail about the Meredith Dairy project. Its a great example of a business truly committed to environmental and commercial sustainability. Ill post some more photos soon!

02.01.2022 "We are almost alone in the world in not having energy from biomass included into long-term federal renewable energy policy." - Andrew Lang.

02.01.2022 Dragon NRG is very proud to receive the Bioenergy Innovation Award for the Meredith Dairy Project at the Bioenergy Strong conference 2018.
