19.01.2022 Here we go Ladies....the women 20's 2k dragon boat race for the Swan's -Maroochy Sea Serpents team. Lining up for the race we get a 20 seconds start between all... boats. Three Corners to navigate around, we're boat number 4, we have one boat behind us chasing us down. We're coming up to our first corner just missing out on the lead for the corner by only inches so unfortunately we had to yield but we managed to get on their wake for a smooth run out off the corner. Then back down the straight ready for another lift sitting up tall to catch the wind breathing in deep in readiness to do it again. We got a great run round the last corner which enabled us to come home in a deeper lane - as for the last 500mts of a 2k race your steerer can pick the best lane for the team. Yahoo we're home. That was the mightiest effort of the day with a lot of the Swan's team being BCS paddles who had just finished a 1000m race only 3 races before this 2k dragon boat race. xo See more

07.01.2022 Congratulations Sunshine Coast Dragons Abreast on our big effect at the Queensland State Championships coming in second for the BCS 10's 1000m dragon boat race. Splitting the 2 Brisbane DA teams & holding off Gold Coast DA

05.01.2022 Day 2 at Queensland State Championships. Saw new friendships made as Redcliffe Pink Snapdragons combined with Sunshine Coast Pink Sea serpents. The girls paddle...d strong and achieving 2nd place. 1st was Brisbane (A), 2nd our girls, 3rd Brisbane (B) & 4th Bribie Island. Congratulations& well done to all teams. See more
