24.01.2022 Find 5 minutes for you today! And don’t tell me you can’t. Because I honestly believe we can all find five minutes a day, to do something for us! Stretch... Breathe Move your body Gratitude Journalling Feet in the grass and chill Enjoy food What are you going to do for you today? Even finding five can make a massive difference to how we think and feel Would love you to share this simple message with anyone who needs it by tagging them below

24.01.2022 TODAYS BACKYARD WORKOUT Push ups Squats Burpees... 20 Kettlebell swings For a quick session repeat 3-5 times .... or more if you want something longer You can also swap out any of the exercises for something else. Sit ups, tricep dips, donkey kicks, side plank, lunges .... so many options! Dont over complicate it. Pick a few exercises. Do a few rounds. SIMPLE And remember that anything is better than nothing Move your body a little. In any way. And your body and mind will thank you. TIP : take photos or video of yourself doing the exercises and check in on your form : taken by my littlest love. See more

23.01.2022 . And on top of that - % . So what can you do about it? ... Get up and move every 20-30 minutes. Dont sit for long period without moving. Keep moving and engaged in your daily activities. We no longer tell people to stay in bed and rest. The research now shows that exercising and movement can help reduce back pain. When sitting down do your best to have good posture. Relax your shoulders and back (do some shoulder rolls), feet on the floor and your computer at eye level. What about a Chiropractor I hear you think!?!? Well, Chiropractic can be a great way to manage your back pain. If can help to prevent and alleviate pain but also promote a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. So are you one of the 4 million currently suffering? Are you going to #considerachiro ? Any questions let me know, I would love to answer them! I love to explain things, and have fun while we do it! 23.01.2022 And that’s a wrap on 2020 @bespokechiropracticmanning for me! How lucky am I to finish the year in this amazing space at golden hour It’s been one crazy year. Lots of challenges. Lots of changes. A new name and new brand for the clinic (mid Covid - because why not!). New staff. New energy. I have had the absolute pleasure of speaking at events and sharing my message that health can be simple to many busy women. Running really far. Like really damn far! New frien...dships. New adventures. And as always, finding the time to focus on family when I need to. And more importantly feeling supported by my work family to do that To all my clients .... thank you! For trusting me with your health. For recommending me to your family and friends - that means the world Thank you for supporting us with all the changes that have been made in the clinic. Most of all for understanding when I changed my hours to suit my family. You all are amazing. And I honestly feel so blessed to do the job that I do, with the amazing clients that I have. You are all amazing and I wish you nothing but happiness and health this holidays Also a special shout out to those who have trusted me at their events. And also those fellow business women who have been there as a shoulder when I needed one, and also with the champagne to celebrate when I needed that too. I can’t wait to see what you all have in store in 2021 So this is me .... saying THANKYOU to 2020 and all who have been apart of it. This isn’t the end of me for this year .... but I will be slowing down and enjoying family time. Bring on holidays! See more

21.01.2022 , ? Good! And so you should be! Now I am all for new routines and habits and being healthy. But make sure you know that you don’t have to take it to the extreme! ... ! A juice cleanse Join a new gym Do a strict detox for all the food and alcohol you consumed in December Meditate for an hour a day Have a goal of running a marathon if you hate running Love everything about your body Suddenly be a morning person with an amazing morning routine Spend a day planning your 2021 out to the day or week Be a vegan - or go on any other restrictive diet Get a new job Give up coffee .... or soy milk for that matter Give up all forms of social media Remember .... these are things you don’t need to stop doing or give up, to be healthy in 2021- or any year!) You can do or not do all of these things and still be healthy. It’s all about working out what works for you. And that might be different in December, than January, than June. If you do things in that list, and it does work for you, amazing! But everyone doesn’t need to do them to be healthy! Life is every changing and ever evolving. So do what works for you. And don’t buy into restrictive ideas, if it’s not what you need, right now , ! - ! See more

21.01.2022 . ? ? It’s meant to be all fun and games. Presents and champagne. Happiness and love. Family love. Catch ups with friends. Time to relax, eat and enjoy. That’s what it’s MEANT to be, isn’t it?... But.... . People worried about family catch ups. People dreading being stuck, away from home, with people they just don’t want to be with but feel obliged to. People who would rather be with friends than their family. People who have no friends or family to be with (especially this year .... thanks Covid!). Then there are the people who are carrying extra kilos, and don’t want to hit the beach, they would rather stay on their couch and watch Netflix. People who are terrified of falling off the wagon of their diet or exercise routine. And that thought is terrifying for them! So many people have suffered great trauma around this time of year and it’s not a time of joy. It’s a time of sadness. It’s also a time when people are busy at work. Busy trying to finish up and tie up lose ends, so they don’t get shopping done, or even make it to the parties and celebrations. They are sick of hearing about everyone else’s time off because they don’t get any extra time off. And that’s hard to explain all the time when you are feeling a bit burnt out already. I see this and more, every day in clients. It comes out in their busyness and I don’t have time to exercise right now and the I can’t sleep more than 5 hours because I need to work I see it with the tension headaches and back pain. The poor sleep. The irritability. The tears. The I wish it was January already I see it in the people who just want to lay on my table and not move because they just want a few minutes of down time Sound familiar? ’ ! ’ . Pop an emoji describing your Christmas experience below and I’ll make sure you see my post with my top tips

20.01.2022 Just keeping it simple tonight. Ill just leave you with these thoughts ..... Are you being a little silly or crazy? Or different and fun? Are you just being you? Because you cant be anyone else. And if this year has taught us anything, its that life is short, crazy and unpredictable. But life is also fun and amazing Would love you to tag someone who needs to see this, or share it with them. Lets spread the happiness

20.01.2022 BE YOU. JUST BE YOU. Stop comparing... Just do what you need to do. Just do what you love Just remember you are AMAZING Just remember that where you are right now is perfect Stop worrying about what other people think or where other people are at JUST BE YOU. THE WORLD WILL ADJUST. True story. If you told me this time last year that I would have run a 200mile race That I would have moved clinics to such an amazing space That I would have torn my hair out trying to find the right balance of mum and wife life vs work life, to now feel like it has finally worked That I would have rebranded mid global pandemic I would have said, yeah right... whatever. But it all happened. And I have adjusted. My world has adjusted My clinic and my peeps have adjusted And guess what .... even thrived The same is true in a health. Sometimes we have to do things different. Things our world doesnt understand or agree with. And thats ok. Do what you need to. You are amazing. Trust your gut instinct! And you have got this And sometimes you need to find a little support while the rest of your world catch us and adjusts .... Im here for you if you do! PS how amazing is this bangle and packaging from @bebangles I love it even more as I get to adjust spines and worlds every day See more

20.01.2022 Need something to read while scrolling Facebook and watching The Block ? Head over to read my interview with Eating your Cake too Lots of goodness to do with simple health tips - for body and mind!

20.01.2022 Did you know they are all parts of your brain? My kids did When my 6&8 year olds came home on Friday and started mentioning these parts of the brain I was both floored and impressed! They had learnt about them when they did yoga at school ..... I didnt even know they were doing yoga let alone learning all this! I was honestly so impressed So - I thought Id give you all a crash course on these three bits of the brain!... The Hippocampus is primarily involved with memory! Ill pop a hippo emoji here to make you remember it It is also part of the limbic system which regulates motivation, emotion, learning and of course memory Speaking of the limbic system - the amygdala is also part of it It mostly works with emotions and behaviour .... especially processing fear it works with other parts of the brain to assess fear and then put into place a fight or flight response ... aka running away from a tiger ! Sound familiar to those who have been in to see me and have some Neuro Emotional Technique done? And the Pre Frontal Cortex ....this is all to do with executive function aka personality expression, making decisions, problem solving and moderating behaviour So all in all .... how cool is our brain and nervous system And how cool is it that kids are being exposed to all of this, and yoga, and mindfullness in years 1 and 2 at school!! Gives me hope that this next generation is going to be absolutely amazing Questions? Let me know! Or feel free just to let me know if you think our brain is as cool as I think it is

18.01.2022 Weekends spent at home I wish I had a bath and and outlook like this But I am planning a bath with a glass of red some snacks, a good book at some stage this weekend. Its something I havent done in way too long! Whilst I am loving seeing all these home workouts people are doing, I so want to recognise that it is ok to just relax and chill as well ... Remember that there is a lot of emotional stress at the moment. People are emotionally exhausted (that was me yesterday ) And emotions are often up and down. Your body can only deal with so much. So if its being pushed to its limited mentally, maybe you need to pull back physically. Now,I also know that exercise and a good sweat session can absolutely help to make people feel better mentally. So I am not saying dont do it. Just think about what your body and mind needs right now. Which may be different today, tomorrow or even two hours from now. And do what you need. Not what everyone else in your social media feed is doing. Just do you. And wash your hands. And stay home. And be kind. That is all See more

18.01.2022 I missed a workout yesterday And guess what ?!? The world didnt end ... But I also did get a hilly 5km in this morning, when my little one is at sport, and I would normally be catching up on things like social media posts The point is .... not every workout has to be fancy. Or long. Or perfect. Or perfectly timed. It can just be whatever you can do, when you can do it. And remember to do what feels good. I like to run. Doesnt mean you have to! How are you moving your body today? See more

18.01.2022 ! I am making a conscious effort to pack snacks for work. And honestly, when I do school lunches it really doesnt take that much extra time or effort to pack mine! ... . . . . Healthy eating often comes down to having the healthy choices in the fridge, ready to go! Which means doing grocery shopping and a bit of planning. It may take a bit of time at the start of the week, but it saves so much time later in. Whats your fave, go to, quick snack? - , ?!? !! See more

17.01.2022 - ? , / ? ... Putting myself out there with this one, so be kind, please. NO -vember for me is NO yelling. Because I’m a mum if three little kids who loses the plot a little more than I would like. I raise my voice when I probably shouldn’t. And it happens more than I would like it to, especially over the last 6 (or honestly 12 months). So today I’m putting it out there. I’m saying NO. No to the yelling matches. My neighbours will thank me And I also know that I won’t be perfect. And that’s ok. It’s not about perfection. But putting it out there and being aware of it is the first step right? Accountability! It does stress me out after I yell as I know I shouldn’t. But I know all my mummas reading this will hear me on this one .... dude, if they just did what I asked the first time I asked So I’m saying NO to yelling. For everyone stress levels. ? . . ( ). It’s a big one. So .... what are you going to say NO to this NO-vember? What could you say no to, or stop doing, to improve how you function inside or out? It doesn’t have to be big. Keep it simple. But let me know below And any mummas who want to jump on with mine, let me know .... let’s do this See more

16.01.2022 INJURY SUCKS! But it should never stop you from doing everything!! One thing I feel strongly about is that you should always be able to do something. Regardless of injury. And it REALLY makes me angry when other health care providers tell someone to rest, stretch, ice and go back in a month to see them. Oh and running aggregates your ankle so dont run, or do anything at all Now- I was not at this consult. So the practioner probably didnt say it like this. But ...its the message that the patient hears and took home, which is what really matters. If you are injured, there is always something else you can do. Some other way to move your body. It may not be something you like, but there is always something. As a practitioner, I do my best to make this simple for my clients. Break it down to what they can and cant do. Mostly, I like to remind them of all the things they CAN still do, not focus on what they cant. I want them to still have something positive that they can do for themselves, even if its not what they love to do. As a recovering from injury runner (I mean running on an injured knee and partially torn quad for 200 miles is going to take a little bit to recover from ), being able to still do other activities and other exercises has been key to staying motivated and sane! So I feel you!! Cant run ? Maybe ride or swim ? Cant lift weights ? Maybe or play soccer ? Now - as always this is general. Its not specific info. Everyone and their body is different. So chat to your health care provider about you! And make sure you always have something you can do, even if injured and if they dont give you any options.... maybe its time for a second opinion? . . : @shell.runs Approx 1-2km from the end of the 354km. And yes that is 102 hours worth of dirt on my legs See more

16.01.2022 Doesnt look amazing.... but its tasty and easy to eat on the go! So, I admit... Im not a huge fan of overnight oats. But was thinking the other day, I havent tried them in ages! And I needed a quick, nutritious breakfast that was ready to grab and eat. I normally do boiled eggs but needed a change (and a few times I couldnt get eggs at the shop ) So Im giving it a go again! And Ive been loving it!!... I made 4 portions, mainly so if the kids want some there is some. I mixed oats, milk, yoghurt and chia seeds. A sprinkle of cinnamon and honey and its food to go! Ill add some chopped up apple and banana in the morning to it (if I have time and can be bothered!) Mixed all together and popped in the fridge in jars ready to grab. Do you have a fave overnight oats recipe? Or want to know exactly what recipe Ive been using? Come over into my FB group where I will share the exact recipe tomorrow Click the link here : https://www.facebook.com/groups/1934689216843236/?ref=share

16.01.2022 ? When in reality it is sitting on the couch watching @thebachelorau and then @goggleboxau I really hate the term self care but the concept of it is so important. But I just want to remind you that it doesnt have to be expensive or time consuming! For me running is my go to. It gives me my exercise and happy endorphins, as well as time to myself and time to think. My other is enjoying a take away... coffee on my work days. Its a simple thing, that isnt good for my budget, but it is good for my soul! And hey, supporting local small businesses is important But .... Keep it simple. It can be a bath. Or reading a book (book club has been great for me for this!). Sitting in the sun for 5 minutes with your feet in the grass. Locking the bathroom door while you shower so you arent interrupted (all the mums out there will know what I mean!) or doing the grocery shopping solo with a hot coffee. Put music on and sing loudly and dance as you cook dinner. You can fit self care into everyday tasks. It shouldnt be something else on your to do list which already overwhelms you. Not sure where to start? Not sure what to do? I hear you! So many ladies say this to me. .. ? ! , , , , , , .. .... , ! ? !!! See more

15.01.2022 So many people put so much pressure on themselves to do everything. And be everything and do everything for everyone. All RIGHT NOW ... In health In fitness In business In life Its ok to take your time. Do small things. Often. It all adds up, and makes great, sustainable, long term results. ..... . . ..... See more

15.01.2022 . ? You aren’t alone if you answered NO to that question. But I also know you aren’t alone in wanting to wear them Especially if you are a fellow mumma who doesn’t get out all that often (I see you on a Saturday night slightly jealous of the peeps out dancing up a storm, but also loving being on the couch in your trackies ) ... Did you know it is possible to wear them, have a night out partying, and not have back pain the next day? This is something that one of my clients discovered this week, and she isn’t he only one! After regular adjustments, she had a night out in heels with no back pain NOW I am not saying that I can fix everything after a night out, in heels. But have you considered a chiro to help with any post party pain? Also - consider a lower heel, a wedge even! And please don’t wear them on a daily basis. There are so many stylish flats out there now which are great options for day to day .... and your back will likely thank you for it! And saying all this .... I’ll be popping heels on this weekend for a night out. And yes they will be short heels. And likely a wedge or thick heel. And I will be getting an adjutment this week - and likely next week as well My heels will not be as fabulous as these in the pic though See more

12.01.2022 We are still OPEN! Have a read of the post below to see what we can help you with at the moment, and what we are doing to keep you as safe as possible while you visit us!

11.01.2022 But first ....COFFEE Do you start the day with coffee? I do love a coffee to start the day, but I can definitely go without having one. And often dont have one until later in the day. And you know what. Its ok!! Majority of people can drink coffee without any issues. For some people, they are more sensitive or cant for other reasons - which is why you should always chat to your health care provider about anything, and not just do whats in a insta or FB post as tha...t info is general But back to coffee .... some of my tips on drinking it. Make sure you also drink water. Drink a glass or two before you reach for the coffee Aboid adding sugar if you can Think about the size of it .... do you really need a large? Is it the coffee or milk you like? Maybe have a smaller size with an extra shot. Or a long black. Watch to see if it impacts your sleep. Some people cant have it after noon. Others can have a cup and go straight to bed. But check in to see your quality of sleep when you drink it I am massive believer of everything in moderation, and not excluding anything. Given you dont have allergies or intolerances or other issues. So I am going to drink my coffee. And play with the kids. And then check in with my ladies who have signed up for my 30 day SIMPLE HEALTH HABITSWe kick off tomorrow. Its a pretty amazing bunch of ladies .... want to join us? Its not too late! Link is below in comments I promise I wont take away all the good things in life and it will be fun . For those with kids at home .... may your coffee be strong than your kids attitudes See more

10.01.2022 2020 has been quite the year I have heard a lot of people lately say that they can’t wait for the year to be over. That they aren’t writing off the rest of the year. Not trying to hit any goals. Just riding out the end of the year and waiting for 2021. They have been saying that 2021 is a new year and they will start again then.... And you know what? It’s true. 2020 has been crazy. But there is still time to end the year on a positive note There is time to make some positive change and create a new habit or even 2 new habitsOr maybe you just want to solidify a healthy habit you already have! They do say a new habit only takes 21 days .... so plenty of time What could you do, to end this year with a bang because then you are in a much better place physically and mentally to start 2021! Let me know in a comment below .... how are you going to end this year in a positive way?

07.01.2022 I layed down, heard a few cracks, got up, and didnt feel listened to The amount of times I have heard this from clients, or just in general conversation with people, hurts me so much So many people have had an experience like this with a Chiropractor (or other health care provider). That they didnt feel heard. That they felt rushed. That they were in and out before they had time to think. I have been in that position as a client. Now, hear me out. I know that thi...s isnt everybodies experience. And I know I aint perfect. And this is in no way at all a dig at other Chiros or health care providers. It just hurts me the clients dont feel heard. That people feel that their health care provider doesnt have time for them, or extra time if they are going through something. That they feel brushed off. Its one of the reasons I do longer appointments. Its one of the reasons that I sometimes make them even longer (even double- and dont charge extra for it) as certain people need more time. They need to talk. It is why I love being a holistic Chiro. I get to talk about their spines and nervous system. But also their water and diet. Sleep and stress . We work out whats actually triggering their symptoms and what we can do about it. We also talk about their familes and kids. Their dogs and cats. Discuss how to stay healthier on the holiday they have planned . We have time to cry and to celebrate. Not saying everyone needs to work like this. And I am definitely not saying anyone gives any less amount of care. Not in the slightest! I am just saying that I love working this way. And hope my clients always feel heard and understood Just dont be late to your appointment I do my upmost best to run on time with appointments. And sometimes that means if you are late to your appointment then we need to reschedule (which I know can put people out!) But I know other people are expecting me to be on time, and reply on that. And I wont compromise their time because you were late. And no I cant do a quick appointment, there is more to it than that! Oh, the final note ...... and I CAN NOT WAIT to give hugs again!

07.01.2022 Without your health, what do you have? During the last few months, people have started to look at health differently. They have realised how easy it is for it to be taken away. How easy it is to take being healthy for granted. I have found people are starting to make more time for their health.... Doing small, and large things. It could be as simple as breathing and drinking water. Or making sleep a priority. Or as big as a while diet change, new personal trainer and regular chiropractic care. As well as a check up with their GP Has the happenings of the last few months changed the way you look and deal with your health? Are you ready to take a step to being healthier? See more

07.01.2022 Do you really think you can function well, and that your body can heal, on 2-3 hours sleep a night My answer would be ABSOLUTELY NOT! This is a conversation I had with a client recently. They thought their sleep was ok, and that it wasnt having an impact on their health I completely disagreed. 2-3 hours a night. IS NOT ENOUGH ... Yes there may be times when you have that amount of sleep. New born babies or running ridiculous ultra marathons . But its defintely not ideal for your body. And you cant expect to function at your best, mentally or physically, if you do it. Especially long term. Now .... you may not want to have a conversation about sleep, if you come to see me. But if this is your sleep habits, then I can tell you that its a conversation we will have And I will be blunt. Because I am here to look out for you to look at all aspects of your lifestyle that may be impacting on your health. And also impact your ability to heal and respond to treatment. That my job. I may be blunt. I may be straight to the point. But always with love and care Always because I just want to open your eyes to how it may be impacting you. So then we can work on it together. So I dont apologise if I am blunt. Or if you dont want to hear it. Because sometimes you need to. 2-3 hours of sleep a night, long term, is simply, not enough. PS.... if you fall asleep, before managing to eat your afternoon snack, it may be a good indicator you need some more sleep See more

06.01.2022 DO YOU PLAN YOUR WEEK? It is one of my key tips for staying on track! Plan your exercise or movement sessions... Plan your meals (and also when you are going to grocery shop) Plan any social events or catch ups (at a socially acceptable distance of course!) Even plan what time you are going to go to bed and get up each day Plan it. Write it in your diary. Schedule it. Make it happen If it is planned and scheduled, it decreases your stress. You know whats happening when. It means less time each day to plan and remember what you need to do. So it may take a bit of time once a week to plan it. But it definitely makes it easier during the week! The days and weeks that I know the plan are smoother and less stressful than the weeks and days I dont Are you someone who plans? Weekly? Or daily? Or both See more

06.01.2022 Lets celebrate! What health win have you had this week? Drank more water?... Slept better? Started exercising? Are well? Stopped to breathe? Let your body and mind have a break? The biggest one for me happened right now! I ran 5km pain free This is the first time since my 200mile event in Feb that I have done this. So happy! Happy dance here What can I celebrate with you? Let me know below!! Big or small, lets celebrate

05.01.2022 DONT GIVE UP Sometimes things dont go to plan. With health and fitness. Maybe you got injured With work. Maybe you lost your job... With love. Maybe you have had a break up With food. Maybe you had a week of ice cream and chocolate With money. Maybe there was some unexpected bills With life. Sometimes it doesnt go to plan Its ok .... know there is a plan b or c.... or even z! Just dont give up. Promise? See more

05.01.2022 ICECREAM WINE 2 COFFEES ... had it all today. And dont feel guilty! I had coffee when I got to work. I had another one after work on the way to get the kids. I had our obligatory end of term ice cream with the kids (of course I had one too). And now Im having a wine as I sit and do some admin work. oh and my workout this morning was more of a stroll than anything else.... and after ice cream the kids alternated between the TV and the trampoline while I did some admin. Because business doesnt stop! And you know what? I am ok with that! Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to know that its ok have days like this. And ok to have days where you eat food you wouldnt normally eat all in one day. That you do less high intensity exercise. That you just give in and let the kids do whatever. That you hang out for hubby to get home and help .... and cook dinner (bless him ) while you hide away in the corner of a room and try and tune out to the world and focus. Its ok to have bad days. Because they arent really bad .... they are just days. And tomorrow is another day. Not good. Not bad. Just a day. And what you did today. You dont have to do tomorrow. Or you can do it tomorrow. Or you can do something completely different. Who cares?!! Just do what feels right for you There is no right or wrong. Just do what feels good What feels good for you right now? Do more of that See more

05.01.2022 ? ’ ? ? ’ ! It’s especially crazy this time of year, isn’t it? So many things to do and remember - grab a pen and paper and write it all down! Nothing beats a good to do list ... And then it’s all out of your head, and you can clear some head space for other things .... like what book to ready next, or which wine will match dinner Also - if you have a busy mind at bedtime, pop a pen and paper by your bed so you can get all the thoughts out, and it makes it easier to sleep as you aren’t constantly worried about forgetting things in the morning See more

05.01.2022 How much water have you had today? Not enough? You aren’t alone .... it’s been a common theme in the clinic today.... So this is your reminder .... get up now and have a drink of water That is all .... you can go back to your day now

05.01.2022 Get barefoot in the grass and breathe When clients are stressed out, and dont know where to start in terms of stress management, this is where I tell them to start. Shoes off... Into the grass (find your local park if you dont have grass at home) And breathe. Slow and deep. Even if its only a few minutes it will make a massive difference. Slow deep breathing will help stop the physiological impact of stress on your body AKA how stress and emotions feel physically and cause tightness etc in your body. Start small and simple. Then build. For the rest of the month I have challenged the ladies in my Facebook group to find time each day to breathe. Want to join us? The link is in the comments below PS - yes that my feet. And yes that nail polish thats about 2 months old from the kids manicure See more

04.01.2022 I am looking at options for ways to continue support you during this crazy time. One thing we are considering is online consults. These would be for specific stretchesand exercises and health advice for you! Clearly I cant give you a Chiropractic Adjustment over the phone but using Zoom or Skype, I am able to still offer you a lot of individual support. Stretches. Exercises. Home office ergonomics. Stress and general health advice. You would not be able to claim th...ese in private Heath (at this stage!), and would have a small charge associated with them Would you be interested in this if I offer it? I would love to know! Please let me know below, or send me message or email Stay healthy and wash your hands

04.01.2022 ( ) , ? ’ , . ’ , , ! So ... When was the last time that you actually took the allocated 4-6 weeks holiday that you would get as a employee? I am going to guess that most of us don’t take as much as we shoul...d. Which means that we potentially don’t shut off from work and the juggle and refresh as often as we should. And I’m not here to say what is right or wrong, as everyone is different. And every situation is different. I may not take weeks off but I work hours to suit my family and kidsAnd I also know it’s one of the major benefits of being a mum in business. It’s one of my big WHY’S, the flexibility. BUT .... I have an amazing opportunity to do something a little crazy and it honestly is . But it means being away from work for about 6 weeks this coming year (not all at once!). As we also have a family holiday planned and that is the priority and I refuse to miss that. But ... I am reluctant. As I means time away from the office. Regular time away from my family for training. Extra pressure on my amazing husband. And take out the training and family stuff, I know that if I was an employee and would have paid holidays etc then it would make the decision a little easier. I really do love my job and my clients and do all I can to be there for them so always think hard about time away from the office, let alone so much in one year. Do you feel guilty taking time out from the business for holidays? Do you take the allocated holiday that you would/are entitled to? Do you feel bad taking more time than you normally would to do something for you that’s not work? Do you think women/mums struggle with this more than men? See more

04.01.2022 ..... ? . ! Increased work hours.... Less help in the office. Just the whole not knowing. The extra coffees to support local businesses. The extra wine .... just because! While I did my best to not worry about what I couldnt control, there was still a level of increased stress. I know a lot of you felt the same way. That things were ok, but also still stressful. And I also know that it took a toll on your bodies, as it took a toll on mine! . . And the last few times I have had a visit with my chiro @bespokechiropracticmanning things have been pretty tight and sore and not functioning the way it should be. Same with visits to my soft tissue OT. Sore everywhere Until this week! Things are better! Not back to perfect, but so much better! My body and mind feel so much better, and more in alignment with how I know I can function. Exercise is regular again, coffee intake down, as is wine I am also sleeping better and feeling more organised So here is your reminder .... drink some water, sleep well, move your body. Make an effort to de stress. Long periods of even minor stress will have an impact on your body. Maybe you sleep worse. Maybe you are easily agitated. Maybe you felt tightness in your neck and shoulders. See your health care provider. Check in with your chiro. You may need a few extra visits to get you back on track! Especially if stress is still high for you, and if you are still working from the dining room table . . , . . ! @jennyfeastphotography

04.01.2022 What would you rate your stress levels out of .... with 0 being no stress at all and being maximal stress So many people this week are rating up around 7 or higher. Which is huge! So my challenge for you this weekend is to sit and have an honest think about what you would rate your stress levels out of 10. And then .... what can you do to lower them?... Maybe a trip to the beach? Or a visit to the bush? Maybe some extra sleep? Or plan your meals so its one less thing to do later in the week Get our and move your body Put in place some boundaries for work Stop and breathe... 10minutes ... deep breathing! Last weekend we got away and explored some of WA. It was amazing! Time with family and friends and no one else in sight. Campfires, red wine and belly laughs. So good to lower my stress levels. Also - how good is the #wanderoutyonder campaign from Tourism WA? We definitely did that last weekend! Get out, explore WA, and lower your stress while you are at it ... a win for everyone See more

03.01.2022 Emotions and stressDid you know we are meant to have them? It’s a part of life. But we are meant to have periods of stress or higher emotions. And then periods of no or low stress. We aren’t meant to have prolonged periods of high stress though! And sometimes stress is purely just being busy all the time ... We want to bring our bodies out of the high stress and emotive states, and back to a manageable level. So how do we do that? Firstly by recognising that we are getting stressed, more emotional (hello yelling at the kids more ) or just constantly busy . And learning to recognise signs of this .... which may be not sleeping as well being more irritable relying on more coffee or wine or chocolate for that pick me up Secondly putting plans in place to deal with it! Like stopping to do some deep breathing or stretching . Swapping out a coffee for some water . Getting to bed at a decent time and having good sleep habits. And my fave .... having a visit to your Chiropractor so that your nervous system can deal with any stress you are coming across, better!! My favourite in the moment way of dealing is to feel the feels (aka have a hissy fit) and then drink some water and make a plan. My favourite way long term to deal with it is to exercise (hello running ) and have a sauna .... and of course regular Chiropractic care What’s your go to stress busting activity?

03.01.2022 - It honestly never ceases to amaze me how many times I hear this from clients after their adjustments. It mostly happens after I work on their thoracic spine and ribs - aka their mid backs near their shoulder blades. By getting this area moving better, it increases function of the joints and nervous system, which often allows a fuller, deeper breathe, often without pain or restriction they were feeling.... Also a key thing I talk about is posture. If you are hunched forward, how can you expect to get a full deep breathe in? Think about it.... your lungs arent in their ideal position, and neither is your spine and ribs. So how can you expect them to function fully? Do you sometimes feel restricted in your mid back movement? Is your posture less then ideal? Are you more stressed than normal? Have you thought about a visit in to see me and find out if I could help? See more

01.01.2022 ? 1 of the things I always ask my clients, is that question. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes no ... But for that reason I try and keep them simple, and not over load you with too many. Then you are more likely to do them. Did you know you should hold a stretch for atleast 30 seconds? And not bouncing into a stretch!! Just feel the stretch and hold! ..... ? - See more

01.01.2022 WHAT IS THE HOTTEST TOPIC IN THE CLINIC THIS WEEK? Its nothing BIG .... its actually quite small we have been taking about how all these things add up. And then impact you. They become significant. In both good and bad ways. Stress. Lack of movement. Dehydration. Lack of sleep. Working at home. Eating foods that dont agree with you. They all add up. They maybe seem small individually, but add up to have a huge change on how you function. Your body... can only deal with so much before it lets you know its not happy so to speak. These small things can have a cumulative effect and cause lots of symptoms. It could be headaches. Or back pain. Or tight shoulders. Or heightened emotions. Or bad digestion. Poor sleep. Just to make a few common ones I am seeing. The GOOD NEWS?!? It also goes the other way Sleep more. Drink water. Move your body. Manage your stress. Eat food that agrees with you. Check your posture and desk set up. Do little things often and it can have massive positive impact on your health Thats what my 30 day simple health tips program is about ..... simple health tips. Accountability. Support. Fun. So ...what are you waiting for? Click the link below. And for the cost of a few coffees you can join me for 30 days!
