17.01.2022 Kids will be kids!!! DRAINAWAY was recently called to a property to address some pipe drainage issues. We performed a CCTV inspection of the property’s main sewer pipeline to find that kids had been putting rocks down the pipe. This could have been prevented by installing a grate over the overflow relief gully. 14.01.2022 DRAINAWAY received a call from a customer regarding a blockage shortly following the completion of some construction works at their home. Upon inspection, DRAINAWAY identified that a steel rod had penetrated through the pipe work under the slab. Using specialty equipment, DRAINAWAY cut out the steel rod from the existing pipework and performed a 1 metre reline on this location. 08.01.2022 From Little Things Big Things Grow DRAINAWAY were asked to attend a property to inspect a drainage pipe that was blocking repetitively. From the CCTV inspection, the plumbing was found to have severe root intrusion and a section of collapsed piping. It was evident that a large mango tree, located directly above the pipeline, was causing both of these issues. The only rectification methods available were to remove the tree to access and replace the existing plumbing that ties ...into the council mains or to install a new pipeline from the house to a new main sewer line connection point, both being costly options. 07.01.2022 We recently rehabilitated a 100mm stormwater urban wear (clay pipe) which was badly damaged due to tree roots, with some sections fully degraded. The pipe was located down the side of a customer's house, 1 metre below the surface, and under a concrete slab. Due to the location, a full 8-metre piece of the damaged pipework was inspected, cleaned and lined.... The first-class installation combined with industry-leading product and workmanship resulted in another very happy customer.

05.01.2022 Moving Mountains? DRAINAWAY recently completed a reline of a home main sewer line which was buried beneath a retaining wall. As you can see in the video the retaining wall is quite high and consists of massive boulders. Conventional repair methods would need heavy equipment to move these rocks, not to mention the removal of the tree that is affecting the line. 05.01.2022 DRAINAWAY were called out to a customer's home complaining of a sewage smell and a "wet" area found at the front corner of their house slab. Upon inspection DRAINAWAY confirmed that this was indeed sewage, so CCTV inspection was performed. What DRAINAWAY found was a cracked PVC pipe under the slab, possibly a construction defect as the house was relatively new. ... 03.01.2022 Today we performed a CCTV inspection on a pool suction line as the customer noticed issues with the pool level dropping and cavitation in the pump. DRAINAWAY located the crack in the pipe and will reline this section without having the unnecessary cost of digging up the concrete and tiled surface.
