24.01.2022 While conditions in Northern Tablelands have eased, the gusty winds have not. Today fire fighters responded to 5 grass and bush fires with 3 still burning tonig...ht in the Tenterfield area. Crews will patrol overnight and be on the ground again at first light, supported by a water bombing helicopter. All land holders are again reminded to check the Fire Danger Rating in your local area prior to undertaking any burning in the open. Permits are available from local Brigades and it is up to the land holder to monitor local conditions for safe use of fire. As we move closer to the NSW summer, we ask you 'How fire proof is your plan ?'

(even if you suspect it’s just their first allergy attack of the season), talk to your GP about getting your child tested for COVID-19. If the test result is negative and symptoms persist, ask your GP about a management plan during the COVID-19 pandemic. https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//frequently-asked-questions.

16.01.2022 Beats in Bruxner Over 3 weekends from Saturday 26 September, Beats in Bruxner will bring life to Tenterfield’s main shopping & dining precinct. Visitors to Tent...erfield’s main shopping and dining precinct will be treated to a special musical soundtrack to enhance their retail and dining experience over the coming weekends. Beats in Bruxner is an initiative developed by the Tenterfield Chamber of Tourism, Industry & Business with the view of reactivating our regional township following community hardship caused by drought, bushfires and COVID-19, whilst providing local musicians with a live performance platform. Over three weekends from Saturday 26 October between 10am 2pm, local musicians such as Jess Lockwood, Christine Davis, Helen Conway, Peter Harris, and more will base themselves near Bruxner Park on Rouse Street, providing an added ambience to the main street. Local businesses are encouraged to extend their opening hours to 2pm over these weekends to maximize the economic benefits. This initiative will operate under the Outdoor Council of Australia’s Framework for Rebooting Outdoor Activities in a COVID-19 Environment and it is important that all current NSW Health advice and guidelines are adhered to, including not gathering as a crowd. Please note that Beats in Bruxner will be weather dependent. Proudly funded by the NSW Government.
