19.01.2022 The new Drake App We have received some calls and messages from collectors regarding some of the request that the APP asks you when you first download it. Location: It will ask you to allow access to your location. This is to help secure the app by excluding access from a couple of countries known for hacking and breaking apps eg Nigeria. Honestly, we don’t care if you are at the pub or you girlfriend s house, we are not you wife. We just want to make sure the app is not goin...g to get hacked. Photos: It will ask you to allow access to your photo’s. This is so you can share photos to the help & support section if you have a question or a problem. Once again, we don’t want to see your photos. Phone: It will ask you to allow access to your phone, the new app has a feature where you call Drake from the app. If you are going to install the app you MUST allow Location, you do not have to allow the photo or phone features I apologies, this information should have been shared with the link to install to save all the confusion. 14.01.2022 All set up for the 8:30 am (Queensland Time) model announcement...there will be a second model announcement at 10:15 am (Queensland Time) Important information regarding the Drake Collectors Day Scratch & Dint Sale. All the models are in and area and they are al priced. Due to COVID-19 restrictions we can only let 10 people at a time into the area. ... Each person on arrival will be given a number ticket. Tickets number 1 to 10 will be the first ones in. They will have 5 minutes in the scratch & dint area to finalise their purchases. As one person comes out the next person can go in. At present we are waiting for all the upgrades to the Drake App and the website to be completed and tested. 05.01.2022 Update from Drake Collectibles HQ 6.11.20 Talk about a slow boat from China The shipment of Drake 5x8 Swingwing diecast replica trailer & dolly sets left the factory and set sail in September. This shipment was scheduled to arrive down-under early to mid October but due to many reasons, unfortunately they have still not arrived yet. We have received another update from our shipping agent a few days ago advising us of further delays, this time due to port congestion. This is ...out of our control and we just have to wait in line. Once the shipment has docked and everything has been processed, we will release them for sale. The next problem we face is for 2020 we re-arranged our model releases so that a model production run left the factory every 4 -6 weeks. This means that the next container of Kenworth T900 trucks (which includes the second Muscat truck) is already on the water that is rapidly catching up to the trailer shipment and you guessed it, there is another container of trucks, this time Kenworth T909 ready to leave the factory. So, batten down the hatches and brace yourself because if the truck shipments run on time there is going to be a lot of great models arriving for Christmas NB: there will be no new truck release the week of the 9th November.
