While feeling tight through the hip flexors, usually the first thing someone will do is search "how to stretch hip flexors" (front of the thigh). A lot of the time we forget about the antagonist muscle group - the glutes. ... If one muscle group is tight (hip flexors) then it is highly likely the the opposite muscle group (glutes) are not activating properly. If this is the case and the glutes are not activating, one of my favourite Glute exercises is the glute bridge. Lie on back, feet hip-width apart and flat on the floor, arms straight with palms flat on the floor. Tighten absyou're aiming to hold this gentle contraction throughout the exercise while still breathing. Keeping shoulders and feet on the ground, squeeze glutes and press hips up toward the ceiling until body forms one line from chest to knees. Pause, then slowly lower yourself back to starting position. Do 3 sets of 8

The highest prevalence is among people aged 30-50 years, with a male to female ratio of 2:1.... An MRI is able to identify even minor changes in the disc structure, however just because a disc herniation appears on MRI, it doesn't mean it's the cause of your pain. A study found 19-27% without symptoms had a disc herniation on imaging. Through conservative care such as chiropractic, a disc CAN heal. If you sleep o...n your side, try lying with a slight bend in your knees and consider putting a pillow between your knees so that your legs are about hip-width apart. This can reduce the pressure placed on the spine and provide alignment. Avoid positions that change or distort the natural alignment of your spine.
