(Drama Scene has been running After School Drama groups for 18 years.) Some of our long term staff have taken Covid Jobs so we are keen for more Coaches to join our team. 15.01.2022 An entire month of DRAMA SCENE Daily Diversions! This week we are doing DRAMA QuaranSCENE in Zoom Holiday Workshops. Steph and a bunch of our DramaSceners have 31 Perfect Day ideas for friends playing along at home!... Raid the wardrobes and dress up as an old person. Draw a comic strip. Mime the action of a fairytale and see if someone can guess which one it is. Mime the action of a favourite movie and see if someone can guess which one it is. Get online and look up Auslan (Australian Sign Language) learn how to sign your name or sign a song. Make cards ready for occasions like Mothers Day, Birthdays, Fathers Day, even Christmas. Make bookmarks similar to the Drama Scene birthday bookmarks. Create a home caf / restaurant complete with a name sign, menus, table decorations and pretend plates of food. Pretend to be a YouTube Influencer. Mute your favourite TV show or YouTube and add the Subtitles. Read or Act out what they are saying. Pretend you are on MasterChef. Lipsync your favourite song. Pretend it is Pirate Day draw a treasure map, make foil silver coins, create a pirate ship out of cushions. Ask someone to give you a design challenge to solve a problem they have. Build a theatre in Minecraft. Ask someone to give you a list for a scavenger hunt. Design an original meme. Do a puppet show using kitchen utensils. Clean out your sock drawer and find some Sock Puppet. Make up an original riddle. Build a Fort/Cubby/Hideout out of furniture and blankets maybe you can play, eat and nap inside. Write and illustrate an original book. Raid your wardrobe and dress up as a character from a book, rehearse telling their story and speaking as they would sound. Start a Book Club with your friends choose a book you all read and then talk about together online. Google and play the 30 day Lego Challenge. Make up an original joke. Write poems and put them is special places for people to find. Play Musical Statues when commercials come on. Make up a dance routine. Play Rocket Lands. Make a movie.

Staying at home these days is the safest place for children to play. "I don't like Zoom - I tried it for school, for my music practice, for my activity", this is what we hear children say....
