08.01.2022 A reminder to women on the oral contraceptive pill - if you are experiencing significant mood disturbances, consider if it is a direct side effect of the OCP + ...a downstream effect of OCP-induced nutrient depletion (Magnesium, zinc, B6. Selenium etc.) **before** blindly accepting a prescription for an antidepressant... The OCP can be a gateway drug into other prescription drugs. This is how the polyphamracy cycle begins - one drug after another to treat each side effect that the previous drug has caused.... Considering the root cause is a more intelligent approach.
