21.01.2022 Only one appointment left on 30 July unless someone opens up real early at Par Avion! If you are due up to 28 August contact me now, or risk waking me up at 6am!

20.01.2022 Hi Pilots/ATCs/ARFFs - I have scheduled two upcoming clinics on 24 Feb and 24 March at PAFT still with plenty of space. Let me know if your medical is due around that time Happy Flying Dr Dave

20.01.2022 Dear Hobart aircrew / ATCs My next scheduled clinic will be on Sunday 13th December at the Aero Club. The CASA exemption is still in effect that allows you to continue to operate with your previously expired medical certificate until March 2021 if for COVID reasons you are unable to see a DAME. ... Please don't leave it till March to renew if you are on that exemption as because your medical certificate has expired, I cannot issue the usual 2 month revalidation at that time and as CASA are almost certainly likely to be under the pump at that time, it might result in you remaining grounded for weeks after March. I would recommend booking in now to avoid the rush in early 2021! Give me a bell ASAP if you want to be seen on 13 December Fly safe Dr Dave

17.01.2022 Dear Pilots/ATCs, my next DAME clinic will be on Sunday 14th May at Par Avion Flight Training Cambridge Airport. Please contact me via the various channels should you need a medical around that time or within 28 days of that date.

17.01.2022 Next aviation clinic at Par Avion / ACST is Sunday 4th August. Let me know if your medical fall between now and 2 September and you want to book

15.01.2022 Hi to all pilots/ATCs. My next clinics will be on Sunday 24th June and Sunday 15th July at Par Avion, Cambridge Airport - give me an email/SMS/call if your medical is due around these times Dr Dave

13.01.2022 Just an update on clinic availability - due to the Tasmanian quarantine requirements I do not have a date for any future DAME clinics as yet. Once the border opens I will endeavour to get down ASAP. Good news is that CASA have given a 6 month exemption from having to hold a medical certificate for existing certificate holders - suggest you keep an eye on the CASA website with respect to this. Keep safe DF

12.01.2022 Hi fellow pilots/ATCs - best wishes for the festive season. My first clinic for the year at Par Avion will be on Sunday January 28th. Send me a message if you need your medical around that time.

11.01.2022 Dear Pilots/ATCs my remaining clinics at Par Avion in Hobart for the year are on Sunday 18th November and Sunday 16 December. Let me know if your medical is due around that date. Happy flying. Dr Dave

10.01.2022 Hi everyone, just to let you know I still have some appointment availability for my next clinic at Par Avion on Sunday April 22nd, and a clinic is also open on Sunday May 27th. Hope you are enjoying your flying Dr Dave

10.01.2022 The kids are patenting a new colour vision test for aviation. It's a bit like the Farnsworth D15. If you can correctly distinguish between violet, blue violet, wisteria and cerulean you can probably shoot a PAPI

10.01.2022 Dear Hobart aircrew / ATCs With the borders now open to the ACT, I will resume my monthly DAME clinics at the aero club. My next clinic will be on Sunday 15th November. Be aware that a CASA exemption is till in effect that allows you to continue to operate with your previously expired medical certificate until March 2021 if for COVID reasons you are unable to see a DAME. As I don't expect there will be enough hours in the day on 15th November to see 9 months worth of pilots..., I would think it reasonable to continue to fly on the basis of the exemption for the meantime unless your company deems it necessary to have a fresh medical. On the other hand don't leave it till March as because your medical certificate has expired, I cannot issue the usual 2 month revalidation! Give me a bell ASAP if you want to be seen on 15 Nov as the clinic is already half booked. I expect to make trips monthly ongoing and will co-opt Dr Jeremy if needs be. Fly safe Dr Dave

09.01.2022 Hi all. My next DAME clinic in Hobart will be on Sunday 18th June. Please make contact if your medical is due within 28 days of this date and you wish to make an appointment. Happy flying!
