23.01.2022 I love working at Hobart Women’s Specialists. Located in the Bus Mall in Elizabeth St, our rooms are in the CML Building opposite the Post Office. It is so the convenient to walk to the Hobart Private & Royal Hobart Hospitals. I am only a 10 minute drive from Calvary Hospital too, if I have an obstetric patient there. 04.01.2022 It is time to take antibiotic resistance seriously. As a gynaecologist I want to have treatments available to help my patients with urinary tract infections & sexually transmitted infections. The World Health Organization states that antibiotic resistance is one of the greatest threats to our health. It is World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (18-24 November each year). There are simple steps you can take now to prevent antibiotic resistance, such using hand sanitiser, washing your hands frequently, practicing safe sex & only taking a course of antibiotics for a proven bacterial infection (not a virus).
