15.01.2022 Have you ever thought about going with just a partial or half head of dreads? This is where dread extensions can really come into play! When you dread your own hair, expect to loose anywhere from a quarter to half of the length. This means the dreads will be much shorter than the rest of your hair but if you attach human hair dread extensions, then voila, instant length! Here’s a couple of tips when it comes to partials... A dread can be installed anywhere on your head bu...t with partials, they’re easier to manage and care for your undreaded hair when they are all together and underneath, ie. across the lower part of your head. Separate often to avoid your undreaded hair being sucked into them. Palm rolling with downward pressure helps to seperate and also can help minimise shrinkage as the dread matures. Our human hair dread extensions can be installed right away and they can easily be cut to length. In fact, if you don’t need the full length cut them in half and use both ends. (our pre made range are 40cms long) It’s helpful to seperate your undreaded hair from the dreads when shampooing. Our Dread Empire liquid shampoo range can be used on undreaded hair too - it works much like a clarifying shampoo so they deeply clean and are residue free - but when it comes to conditioning, pull your dreads out of the way so you can focus on your undreaded hair. Make sure you rinse the dreads thoroughly.
