19.01.2022 A good reminder for us all. It is important and perfectly ok to set healthy boundaries. You are not wrong or bad for doing so. You are reflecting that your needs, wants, and concerns are important, and that you have enough self-love to have them respected.

16.01.2022 These are tough - if not a bit scary - times for us all. With government mandated quarantines, social limitations, and restrictions on our work and lifestyle to name just a few, we may feel quite helpless and distressed as there is so much outside of our control. It is important to keep in mind that which we do have control over, and keep from falling into traps of learned helplessness. It may not be the cure-all, but it may help take the edge off a bit. Be well.

06.01.2022 Many allied health professionals are making changes to their service delivery to be more accessible to the community during these challenging and uncertain times. Fortunately, Dreaming Tree Counselling offers counselling and therapy via Skype, FaceTime, and phone. An increase of these sessions have now been made available to speak to the growing need of individuals requiring mental health support while navigating isoloation and physical distancing. Appointments can be booked via this Facebook page, or via phone/email (details listed on page). All appointments are held in Brisbane, Queensland Australia time, and will pend approval by admin. This is a trial of this new booking approach, and I look forward to hearing from you to make arrangements to meet in the near future. All the best in the meantime, Bree.

If you are an eligible Bupa member and seeing me for online and/or phone counselling, you may be eligible for their new telehealth counselling: Australia’s largest health insurer, Bupa, has announced customers will soon be covered for a number of ancillary health services delivered through telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic.

01.01.2022 This time of year I am usually between teaching terms at the college and as such, make a point to be somewhere else in the world for a few weeks before returning to teaching and the counselling space.
