07.01.2022 COVID-19 restrictions have started to ease. This means some people are returning to work onsite after a period of working from home. Those starting to work onsite again will need to continue abiding by restrictions that are in place, to minimise the risk of contracting COVID-19 or passing it onto others. After all, symptoms dont always show immediately. As an employer, what can you do to optimise employee safety while they return to working onsite?... In this blog, I discuss some tips you can use to change and manage your workplace so that your employees (and yourself) can protect yourselves as much as practical. These tips include: Managing the numbers at the workplace Keep remote working in place, where possible Rethink the physical setup of your workplace Rebuilding workplace culture Maintaining regular communication If planning your employees return to working onsite feels overwhelming to you, feel free to get in touch with me. #returntotheoffice #returntotheworkplace #returntoworksafely https://bit.ly/3d2fkWl

05.01.2022 I wanted to highlight a recent amendment to JobKeeper 2.0 which may be helpful for business who will not be eligible for the new JobKeeper program. This amendment means if an employer was eligible for the first round of JobKeeper but not for JobKeeper 2.0 they can retain some of the industrial relations flexibility measures (if they have suffered a drop in revenue of at least 10 per cent). Under the new change, legacy users are able to reduce (or continue reduction) of employ...ees hours by up to 40 per cent, so they can work a minimum of 60 per cent of the average hours they worked as of March 1 2020. This can be in place until March 2021. Please reach out if you would like to discuss further on the impacts and options for your business.
