25.01.2022 NAP TRANSITIONS... There are several times your baby will go through a nap transitions in their early years. Just when you think you have everything worked out BAM!!!! All of sudden you might feel like youve lost your way... Being prepared for a nap transition and knowing what to expect, can give you a step ahead and help you feel more prepared for when they come along. During a nap transition, you can expect to see these changes with your bubba. - early morning wakings - nap refusal - being a little grumpier than usual - waking early from naps - more night wakings Nap transitions usually occur at around these ages... 6-8 months 15-18 months 3 years Always remember that nap transitions wont happen overnight, and that it will take a few weeks, even sometimes a month or longer for you little one to readjust to their new sleep routine and sleep needs.

22.01.2022 Lets all remember this during the next 6 weeks of lockdown Victoria Mummas. Go gently and be kind to yourself

21.01.2022 What to do when my baby is sick in regards to sleep training?? Often around this time of year, babies can become a little unwell and seem to have a never ending snotty nose. When this does happen, we need to be there to comfort our babies, but we also don't want to undo all of the hard work you have already done in guiding your baby to great sleep.... Some food for thought... Babies using dummies may find it difficult with a blocked nose as it can be hard to suck, so you may need to be there to offer more support during this time. If your baby is really unwell, you could consider sleeping on a mattress on the floor next to their cot for a couple of nights to offer them comfort. This way it will be easy to back away when they are better. Try to resist introducing new sleep associations if possible e.g. rocking to sleep, feeding to sleep, extra nighttime feeds. Sticking with a consistent nap and bedtime routine will support your baby through this time and will make it easier to get back into normal life after they have recovered. It's normal for things to get a bit out of whack when your baby is unwell. Be kind to yourself and be there for your baby, as Mumma's cuddles are the best medicine. Just be prepared to get back on track as soon as baby is well again.

21.01.2022 Sound Familiar? This can definitely be the case when sleep guiding your baby. But be assured that with consistency and commitment, eventually you will be able to spend more time sitting and relaxing as your baby learns to consolidate their sleep. ...

20.01.2022 Let me introduce myself As your typical mum, I am always the one behind the camera taking the photos, hence the selfie with my children which was taken over a year ago. Nonetheless, I would like to show you all the face behind the posts, information, sleep plans, routines and follow up phone calls. ... I am a qualified Infant and Baby Sleep Consultant, with over 15 years working within the Early Years Services Sector Long Daycare, but foremost mum of two gorgeous, yet crazy cherubs. When my eldest was 22 months old I attended a traditional Sleep School as we had been struggling with her sleep from the get go. Colic made each and every day a struggle, which led to terrible naps and night sleeps. Although we had a wonderful outcome from our weeks stay at sleep school, the environment was very clinical and it just wasnt HOME. When number 2 came along, he was a step above little Miss, but we reached out for the support allot sooner and got on top of his sleep allot quicker. So I can honestly say I know how so many mums out there are feeling when they are struggling with to their little ones sleep. Being able to support families in their home environment, and being able to pass on my knowledge on baby and infant sleep is such a wonderful and rewarding feeling. I have been there, I know your exhaustion, Ive felt your desperation, I can relate to your uncertainty. I will help you to guide your baby to better sleep, to find the calm and happiness in your family once again. So please dont feel hesitant in reaching out, as I am here for you, your baby and your family, and will take on a holistic approach for a positive outcome.

19.01.2022 Illusion V's Reality Being a mum is a tough gig! Nobody could have ever prepared you for the physical and mental exhaustion you are faced with when becoming a Mumma Bear. ... When you are working through a new stage with your baby, you can feel extremely lost, confused and in your own little bubble of uncertainty. Something that can add to these feelings, is seeing photos of a mum in your mothers group having a peaceful cuddle with their bubba on the couch, or the new mum in the facebook group laughing with their baby as she introduces a new food. What you dont see is how the first mum had been bouncing her baby in her arms for the 2 hours prior to that photo, desperately trying to settle her. Or that the second mum had been attempting solids with her baby for weeks, feeling defeated, and that photo captured the moment it finally happened. Every mum out there has times of struggle and are emotionally drained to the core at some point. But we often never get see those moments. Dont compare yourself. Dont compare your baby. Dont compare your journey.

18.01.2022 Today is your last chance to enter!!! Dont miss a chance to win a 1 Weeks Phone Support Package. And Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there.

13.01.2022 From the moment you hold your baby in your arms

11.01.2022 Today is R U OK day. Depression and anxiety can have a huge impact on someones every day life, and its something that is often not obvious to see by others. Someone can appear to be confident, bubbly and relaxed, but deep down they can be struggling to get through each hour of each day. Add a new baby to the mix..... Add a pandemic to the mix..... Add isolation to the mix.... Now more than ever, we need to be checking in on our mums out there. New mums, old mums, working ...mums, mums of 1 child, mums of 5 children. Although we cant be there physically to give support, a phone call, a text, a letter in the post (so old school I know lol). Lets look out for each other and by kind to ourselves. #dreamtimebabysleepconsultant #babysleepsolutions #ruokday2020 #pandemic2020 #iso #supportingmumsduringdifficulttimes See more

11.01.2022 I was sure I use to look like the mum in the second picture...? Just goes to show, you can never tell what someone is feeling, or going through on the inside. Be proud Mumma's, you're doing an amazing job!!

11.01.2022 LETS TALK BREASTMILK... Did you know that breastmilk changes its composition throughout the day. The milk that you produce during the morning is very different to the milk produced in the evening. ... Morning milk is made up of more Cortisol, the hormone which assists in awakening the body, and promotes alertness. Whilst milk in the evening is filled with the lovely sleep hormone, Melatonin. So if giving your baby expressed milk, be sure to label it, so that you can be giving them the "night milk" at night, and "day milk" during the day, to assist with your baby's sleep.

10.01.2022 Ummmmm yes!! Who can relate...??

10.01.2022 When setting up a plan for a baby I take a wholistic approach, looking at everything that is going on for baby, parents and family as a whole. What do we look at?? Sleep environment... Age appropriate sleep requirements Nap timing Sleep associations Nutrition Baby's temperatment Mumma's emotional state All of these can influence a bubba's sleep and there is not a one size fits all plan for every baby. Your baby is unique, and so are you. You don't have to struggle through this on your own, the support is here. 10% Off Phone Consultations, offering 1 or 2 weeks phone support depending on your chosen package. Message, phone or email for more information. Take some deep breaths and be kind to yourself.

09.01.2022 A little giggle for the end of a hard day...

08.01.2022 When we talk about clean sleep hygiene, one of the most important parts of this, is the darkness of the room that baby sleeps in. When a baby partially arouses during a sleep cycle, light can be a trigger for them to full wake up and can also allow them to be stimulated by their surroundings. Light and dark play a huge role in the melatonin production (sleep hormone) in the body.... Dark = melatonin production. Melatonin production = sleep. Sleep = happy baby and happy family. The darker you can make bubs sleeping environment, the better
