25.01.2022 Look how beautiful this space is..
24.01.2022 I was lucky to have two men to call father and dad... one wasn’t always around, one came in late to the parenting game... both guided me in their own ways, both were generous and caring, and loved me unconditionally ... it wasn’t simple, so many lessons ...I didn’t always see eye to eye with either but I loved them deeply ... today I miss them both. To all the fathers out there, doing the best they can: Happy Fathers Day!

11.01.2022 One of the challenges AND highlights about being an entrepreneur today is being the one that takes care of marketing and building your brand. On one hand, there is so much to learn; about social media about analytics, about filming, videoing, editing composition, copywriting... so many skills that today's entrepreneurs need to get their message, service and products out there. On the other hand, marketing can be so authentic, fun, and unique - it can get across the essence ...of your particular offering, your character, your vision, and you can be the one who creates it all. And... it doesn't have to be perfect. It needs to be genuine, captivating; impactful, but not perfect. I'm starting to get better and more daring with my own marketing. What about you? Any stories to share about doing most of your own marketing? The Margaret River Region Edgewalkers Explore Parks WA

08.01.2022 In 2010 I went to K9 Dog Rescue to look at a Rhodesian Ridgeback my Dad saw advertised. They let me take the 35 kg wolf for a walk ... but he took ME for a walk... such a strong boy!! He was gorgeous, but I wasn’t sure I could control him, disappointed, I started to walk back to my car. On the way, we passed a kennel where a litter of abandoned puppies were frolicking and when they saw us, started to whine. The volunteer who worked there saw my face and asked if I wanted to ...pat them. Yes! Of course, I did. The minute I stepped inside the kennel this little bundle of cuteness I now call Emiko (but was then called Smartie) jumped up into my arms. - - I never put her down. She’s been with me ever since. - - She’s had to put up with me working away a lot and leaving her for weeks and months with Tiffany Barton Sue Leighton @Morgan Gillham @Mary Barton - - She’s very independent, sociable, even has her own friends at the beach... seriously, they talk to her not me! - - During the semester, she comes to Murdoch Uni with me where she has become the only dog in it’s history to poop in the Kim Beazely lecture theatre. - - She’s the one constant source of joy in my life. All you dog people out there know what I mean. - Happy International Dog Day! See more

07.01.2022 Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing Ron.
05.01.2022 My mum has beautiful dark skin. And she experienced racism all the time. Racism exists right here in WA and I couldn’t not say anything. I know people who experience it every day. They are experiencing it right now. Just like Covid-19 it’s spreads across borders and classes and occupations and communities... it has to be eliminated EVERYWHERE for it to be ok for EVERYONE. We all have prejudices and it’s worth being aware of what they are and how we can do better. ... Thank you for listening to my thoughts and minor story. See more
04.01.2022 We are all creative. Creativity is an innate human quality that makes us all makers & creators. Today creativity is a sought after competence necessary in complex problem solving and innovation. However, because of the nature of the education system, most students reach university without any confidence or belief that they can generate a creative idea. Today's world requires, more than ever, that we awaken all our natural creative ways of thinking; it needs us to access deep...er and more imaginative possibilities so that we can explore challenges from different perspectives & come up with more adequate & sustainable solutions. That's where we can help. www.erikajacobson.com
03.01.2022 I acknowledge today as National Sorry Day and pay my respects to our Noongar elders and leaders and all the traditional custodians of this amazing country on whose land this business thrives. Personally, I have had the privilege of working with communities & organisations from here in Perth to Narrogin to Carnarvon, from Derby to Darwin, where so many committed and wholehearted individuals work tirelessly to bridge the unacceptable gap that still exists for there to be equity and wellbeing for all. I pay my respects to them all and feel extremely grateful to live on Noongar Boodja. Edgewalkers
