21.01.2022 What a fitting way to celebrate the start of the Australian Day Long Weekend! This week we were thrilled to have two-time Author, Australian Day Ambassador and Adventurer-seeker Nicholas Gleeson visit us here at Dress for Work. Nicholas, who lost his sight at the age of 7 years old, has led a truly awe-inspiring life. His feats include climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp, walking 1,576 steps of the Empire State Building and also carrying the torch at the Sydney Olympics. Nicholas will be the Australia Day Ambassador at Liverpool's 2020 Australian Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony this Sunday welcoming our newest Australians. #dressforwork #metroassist #australiaday

02.01.2022 While we have temporarily put a hold on client fittings, it is (modified) business as usual at Dress for Work. For now, we are still accepting donations and staff and volunteers continue the mammoth task of safely sorting and organising donations in our storage facility. As part of showcasing volunteers from our Dress for Work Accredited Training program series, we interviewed one of our super star volunteers, Sanaa last month. Sanaa is from Syria and when we asked her wha...t she liked most about volunteering for Dress for Work she said Enjoying seeing the smiles from clients especially the young boys they remind me of my own children and how we are all really connected, regardless of our backgrounds. Beautifully said and a wonderful reminder that now more than ever, we must all step up and take great care of our fellow humans - most especially the vulnerable amongst us. To read the rest of Sanaa’s interview, visit our blog: https://dressforwork.org.au//meet-our-dress-for-work-volun
