07.01.2022 Alright, if your workload, stress and craziness has gone through the roof in the lead up to the holidays.. you’ll feel me on this one! I’m going to be honest! In the last 2 weeks, I’ve rocked up to the gym and have walked out within 15mins of my warming up more times then I’ve actually completed training because I haven’t been motivated and letting outside factors contribute to this. As you can relate, trying to balance work, family, training, eating relatively healthy and o...ther factors sometimes feels impossible and with having to devote more time to things like work makes this even more of a balancing act. So because of my focus being elsewhere, my training and nutrition has suffered. Am I okay with this? Yes, of course I am. It isn’t ideal but something is better then nothing and when my attention is needed elsewhere, I accept that. Because I know I will get back on track so getting 1-2 sessions a week won’t fast track my goals but it’s not the end of the world. Times like this, our focus needs to be placed elsewhere for us to be happy and have a balanced life and that’s OKAY! Be present and be in the moment. Don’t beat yourself up over trying to make impossible things possible. Sometimes time isn’t your friend especially when your got to get your Christmas shopping sorted (which I haven’t started haha) For real though, set realistic goals over this holiday period whether that’s increasing your steps because you don’t have time to go to the gym or getting only 1 session a week and you can amplify that in 2021 and smash it all!
