10.01.2022 Please fund our MyCampaign fund for independent testing of Best Feline Friend that is likely to have caused hundreds of cats to become unwell. Without independent testing, we cannot protect cats from similar toxicities in the future. There is no independent body who will examine this. We propose testing up to 10 batches. The food will have screeening for over 100 toxins and a complete and thorough nutritional analysis. Testing is performed by a nationally recognised group who... are a reference lab to other food testing companies in Australia. Testing costs $500 per batch. Currently, most owners are unlikely to be compensated for veterinary costs as the only problem found so far is a lack of thiamine in the food. Thiamine deficiency is NOT the whole story. This is not solely about compensation, but to protect future generations of cats from suffering and also the need to have due process carried out for transparency and with respect to the cats that died or became gravely unwell and importantly for their owners.
