One of our students has been working with Brendan our guitar teacher since last year and is going through picks like theyre made of paper. ... With the right engagement, we aim to ensure every student wants to pick in their instrument every spare moment they can and enjoy the journey toward being a better player.

09.01.2022 To all the parents and students of Dr Gear Music Academy; We will be continuing on through all of this and implementing new WHS and hygiene measures to ensure the safety of students and staff. While we understand some would rather postpone lessons until the worst has passed, those who wish to continue are welcome to. If you intend on postponing lessons, please contact is more than 24 hours prior to your lesson. Your time spot will not be forfeited and you wont be charged du...ring this time. For those who wish to continue their progress, we require all students to wash their hands prior to and after their lessons. The sink in the waiting room is prepped with soap and paper towels. We will clean down the equipment that is common use between lessons. Unfortunately the waiting area will be closed during this time to minimize clusters of people. Any students with cold like symptoms are asked to stay home to protect everyone. We take the current health crisis seriously as there are many elderly and immunocompromised people who need our support to minimize the spread. 06.01.2022 Setting up one of the new kits for our drum rooms. We use real acoustic kits to teach on to ensure that our students can develop proper technique and feel. The kits are setup with low volume mesh heads and low volume cymbals to protect developing ears. Our drum room is setup with a pair of kits to allow our teachers to lead by example and provide playing support to our students.
