24.01.2022 Day 7 RECYCLE. My flat cushions for cats are made by reusing or repurposing old denim jeans or woollen jumpers etc for the back & a cat inspired print on the front. Keeps your chair clean & puss happy. #stayingathome14 #catmat #handmade #handscreenprinted #melbournemade #pawsconnect
18.01.2022 Studio cat waiting patiently to go into the print studio this morning. She loves working on new designs. #studiocat
15.01.2022 Window painting today. I have been spending a lot of time this autumn sanding & repainting the outside of the house. #studiocat would mostly like to be in the studio, but they do love helping with windows.
13.01.2022 Japanese indigo. I planted seeds last year in our first lockdown period. I haven’t done dyeing much in recent years, but this year I’m playing around and experimenting a bit more. #japaneseindigo
09.01.2022 Magnolias. Spring is here and we’re still in Melbourne lockdown, but it’s time to come out of winter hibernation and be more productive in the studio. #magnolia
01.01.2022 It just doesn’t feel like Christmas without some last minute tea towel printing. #handscreenprinted #handprinted #madeinmelbourne #australianflora
01.01.2022 Day 5 OLD SKOOL (actually it’s day 7 for me now). My design process- I draw first & use my drawings as the basis for my pattern repeat. I print with hand cut stencils. I like the process of working by hand rather than computer. This is my flowering gum design. Initial drawings and print on a teatowel. #australianflora #floweringgum #handscreenprinted #stayingathome14
