18.01.2022 I have just returned from a wonderful trip to New Zealand visiting an extensive range of drilling sector companies across the North and South Islands on behalf of Drilltechniques. I completed more than 2,500 kms of driving from Warkworth in the North to Timaru in the South with my colleague from Comacchio Drilling Hi-Tech, Riccardo. I have to say what an amazingly beautiful place New Zealand is and what great people New Zealanders are. Of course there is always the AU v NZ ...banter, but always in good spirit and the respect between our two countries remains strong and vital. New Zealand and New Zealanders, despite all of the great challenges they have faced in recent years, remain stoic and resilient and I am confident that as a country and a people they will continue to accomplish great feats that belie their size. 07.01.2022 Drilltechniques Director, Cameron Gaylard commissions the first Comacchio S.r.l GEO 909GT geothermal drilling rig for Nigel de Veth and his leading geothermal drilling company @Deveth Drilling Qld. The GEO 909GT is a wonder of technology and innovation with double head drilling of the rods and casing simultaneously with no manual handling of the rods by virtue of an automated rod and casing handling system. This machine will revolutionise geothermal drilling in Australia.

We are pleased to release the video below that shows the simplicity and efficiency with which the pipe handling arm works.
