24.01.2022 Today we pause to recognise the immense value that Educator's across Australia add to the communities they serve. The team at Dripstone demonstrate their sector leadership through deeply purposeful play advocacy daily and we are so grateful for their dedication and drive. We invite you to share a kind word with an Early Childhood Educator today!

23.01.2022 Interesting read about the good foods to fill up the little humans. https://www.wholesomechild.com/does-your-child-snack-too-m/

19.01.2022 ‘We believe children are wildly complex whole beings and capable risk takers.’ The Dripstone Values Statements in practice. We could list off 100 ways experiences like this support children’s growth and development but today we choose to ask you to share with us what you see as the benefits of this experience.......

18.01.2022 As the days begin to become a little sticky and we await the full arrival of the build up we find ourselves rethinking what long uninterrupted periods of play look like in our indoor spaces. You see many of our indoor spaces find themselves largely unused on brilliantly cool dry season days as we are so engaged and captivated by the gardens and open spaces of the Dripstone grounds. This morning a clay exploration project commenced and we are looking forward to sharing our progress with you over the coming weeks and months. We wonder where the children will lead us on this journey......

14.01.2022 We believe that every child deserves to grow up deeply connected to the land. 'Loving Nature' informs everything we do under the banner of the 'Driipstone Way' and in 2020 we have embarked on a journey that will see us turn the traditional childcare model on it's head in the quest for ever increasing freedom and autonomy for the children and families who join us each day. We recognise that the journey we are on is intricate and filled with opportunities for deep reflection as... we walk a path to be more deeply connected. Collaborative reflection at Dripstone always includes an element of 'How to make toast' and to the untrained eye can look a lot like mess. This week we are embarking on the journey to bring our values to life through the written word in the form of a set of values statements to go alongside our ethos. You see it can be challenging to bring a felt sense from the abstract into the physical form of a values statement. When doing this work we have one thing in mind, always. Simplicity on the far side of complexity. We invite you to share with us what is strong about Dripstone so that we may unpack what is meaningful to you about our place and add it to the organised chaos that is our planning office at the present moment. You can share your feedback via our FB page, come and see us in person or via email if you would prefer. Next time you find yourself with a wicked problem we strongly encourage you to apply the how to make toast principle. You will not be disappointed. To find out more about the process follow the link below. Happy watching and have a wonderful Wednesday. https://www.ted.com//tom_wujec_got_a_wicked_problem_first_

12.01.2022 Simple ways to respect children as whole beings

10.01.2022 What a sensational week we have had at Dripstone. Between the manoeuvring of crates and ropes too creating a sandpit of swimming dinosaurs, it truly was an adventurous week. Now relax ,wind down and enjoy a wholesome weekend with your family. See you next week for some electrifying play.

09.01.2022 The question is: How do we as the adults get well enough out of the way to allow children the opportunity to grow their innate creativity? https://www.facebook.com/TED/videos/10160380570415652/?vh=e&extid=Hqu5fTCoHwZnubHK

09.01.2022 Goodbye for now... We wish our amazing director Zoe farewell for now as she goes on the journey of welcoming Baby Haack early January. We will miss seeing you around but I'm sure it won't be long until you will be popping in to say hello to all the amazing big and little humans. Thank you for all your amazing and inspiring work, now relax, kick the feet up and enjoy this new and exciting adventure. We will see you soon.

05.01.2022 The magical moments of childhood!

04.01.2022 Wishing all the Dads a connected and relaxing Father's Day.

03.01.2022 National Tree Day at Dripstone! This year we re-vegetated our entry garden with a range of native trees, shrubs and grasses from Tim at Territory Native Plants! https://www.territorynativeplants.com.au/ What better way to develop a understanding of the way our seasons change than to increase the number of local natives in our grounds. Observation of these plants as they grow will uncover a cyclic pattern aligned to the broader seasonal changes. Next time you are at Dripstone... we encourage you to grab a watering can and to assist us in keeping some water up to our newest plants while they get used to their new homes. Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to plant atleast one tree in your garden (or even in a pot) for National Tree Day!

02.01.2022 The wonderful Dripstone Team enjoyed a wholesome breakfast on Saturday for Eudcators day, to show a big appreciation to the dedicated and hard work they put in throughout their day at Dripstone. If you could sum up one word for a Early childhood educator what would it be..?

02.01.2022 Pop Saturday the 28th of November into your calendar and head down to see Tim at the Top End Native Plant Sale! Each year we see Tim for our native tube stock needs!
