25.01.2022 Did you know Kroombit Tops National Park held the answer to a 49-year-old mystery? Beautiful Betsy, a WWII Liberator bomber vanished on a routine flight between Darwin and Brisbane in 1945. The fate of the bomber and the eight lives on board was not known until a park ranger spotted the wreckage in 1994. Once our travel restrictions are lifted, visit the wreckage and memorial to the six American and two British service personnel who lost their lives.
