24.01.2022 Killer result for all round good Angus and his Rexxy - RINGLND We installed his Invidia dump pipe to his R400, Mishimoto inlet hose, Process West intake, Grimspeed 3 port and Walbro pump. We use upgraded pump O rings for increased sealing and replaced his very dead plugs with Iridiums. After any intake change we always smoke test and dyno prep So we strapped him down and re-tuned the Ecutek Racerom to suit the new breathing mods resulting in a staunch package considering... the limitations of the heatsponge intercooler and cute turbo. 23.01.2022 And we're out for 2020 I'm incredibly proud of our work this year, our largest year in terms of workload and builds resulting in hundreds of happy customers. It was a massive year of growth for us and the beginning of our long planned changes. 23.01.2022 Well the first week back for 2021...and we're busy, like really busy. I'm not complaining it would just be nice to be taken out to dinner first before I get.... We're Currently booked till Feb and with only tiny pockets still available. We've added 3 more hoists (6 total) and moved them all to create better workflow and space. 12.01.2022 Cam's Evo 8MR FQ300 It had a pretty hard life, the tired engine had some life forced into it with a build that kept to the original albeit upgraded specs with forged pistons and blue printing. Handed over a couple months back, it's all run in - driving and looking how it should. For those playin at home the FQ series is based on a modified 8MR chassis from the UK. Specs change but they all came with HKS bolt ons and interior changes with the upper tier sporting upgrades to... brakes and suspension also. A pretty rare and collectible car - done right. 12.01.2022 Resto mod style build nearing completion for Cam's 8MR FQ320. Retaining stock crack tested crank and rods peened and resized to suit the ARP rod bolts mated to Nitto 9:1 Forged pistons. Blue printed clearances on the ACL Race bearings and full rotating mass balanced ensure no bad vibes. The Nitto Drag 1.6mm Headgasket being pinned down by ARP2000 headstuds will keep the boost in check. The valves were floating in the guides like a in a shirt sleeve so the head got the atten...tion it needed! This FQ had definitely seen a few hard days with all the valve guides hammered and piston no.4s ringland falling apart in our hand, along with more than a few oil leaks. It'll now live on forever. The moral of that story is - don't ignore specialist advice and take your car to a tuner that will happily ignore our findings to pop your motor out of greed and arrogance (big sentence I know ). We have the (fatal) dyno sheets to prove it. Damian came back to us to rectify the catastrophic failure. ... Brand new Evo 9 block, Blueprinted and balanced Nitto Billet 2.2L stroker, ARP mains studs, GSC Balance delete, Oil pump, Aeroflow gated sump, Nitto MLS Drag head gasket, ARP 625+ head studs, Supertech valve train, Kelford Cams, Hypertune ceramic coated manifold, Intense 5656RS turbo and all the required bits to replace the broken bits. This combo will happily spin to 9,000RPM and deliver 380+kw atw. 11.01.2022 Dan and his Hawkeye came in after things got a lil heated thanks to ol' mate stretched headbolt. No worries, after a sit down and a goals chat (who doesn't love goals ) we came up with a progression plan. First thing - sort the engine for upto 280 street kw atw. Insert the new EJ257 block, bin the shitful standard pistons then size up and slide in some Manley forged goodness. The new ARP studs hold everything together whilst the Killer B pickup and 12mm STi oil pump makes ...sure everything gets wet with none of the factory flaws. The heads had the typical woeful valve guide clearance so we tagged in @eastwood_engine for new guides, some valves and setup. He always make it look so fresh with flawless work. Add in the huge amount of preventative maintenance, genuine parts and along with the new @xtremeclutch HD kit means this thing is safer, stiffer and stronger than new. The last ECUtek tune was done in 2008 So we re-tuned to suit the new everything and with NO power mods and same boost it picked up 28kw atw...Not too shabby Now for some run in and some power! 10.01.2022 - Dom and his MY15 WRX - We've addressed the usual bolts ons along with routine maintenance. Now rockin' bits from MCA, Process West and Invidia along with ECU custom flashing. Enough to get it handling and going properly without sacrificing comfort or reliability My only criticisms of these are that they're quite tricky to tune well with a real delicate line between power and reliability, especially in Auto guise. And fix it we did. 02.01.2022 Noel's 370Z We added some go to his show over 2 years ago and the stock motor is still loving life. Making 340kw atw through the AAM twin Borg Warner turbo kit. During tuning he was seeing some leaning in the top end. Insert next round of mods - We've upgraded the fuel system to return type, added a billet bulk head to hold upto the new Walbro 525 pump and current draw (the plastic bulk heads melt around the pins) along with billet fuel rails to flow the fresh E85 in. Thi...s car is a seriously well planned and executed build. Engine, drivetrain, suspension, handling, braking and aesthetics - not a stone unturned. Huge amounts of credit to the owner for building something special, a 1 off and to his own taste. It seems we like the same food Easily one of our favourite builds, thankful to be a part of it! 02.01.2022 New customer Rob @daily_rexpect bought his very...dead (failed original timing belt idler ) GC8 in to us and entrusted us to breathe some life back into it We sorted him with a future proofed new EJ207 semi forged short motor. For added assurance (for track and erm legal spirited driving) we installed a Killer B oil pickup, ARP headstuds, STi oil pump, genuine hoses and genuine gaskets throughout, ensuring no oil or coolant leaks for years to come. We then added STi Group...N mounts and the Xtreme HD clutch kit to get the Link ECU controlled VF34s boosted air down to the wheels. This will happily live at 250kw atw all day every day. We do these things properly, using quality machining in @eastwood_engine (this one needed new valves and guides ), no short cuts and take the time to ensure we get the result - a happy car and a happy customer. Do it once, do it right. Our ethos is that for an engine and car to hold your desired power, it must have strong foundations.
