04.01.2022 LIGHTING There can be a lot of things that go into lighting. Creating separation between subjects by using different lighting techniques can help to make the footage more interesting for viewers but there's so much more to it than that. Different lighting, contrast ratios, lighting positions and exposure levels can draw attention to particular details and evoke specific emotions.... This was a high key setup for an interview piece for a docu-series we filmed for Dirty. Aus featuring Merchant Motorsport. Originally the plan was to have a really dark, stylistic scene for the interviews with a small light dome and honeycomb over the interview subject. Since the buggy was such a big part of the docu-series, the decision was made to setup a 2x2m 1.5 stop panel to wrap around the subject and also add broad fill to the class 10 buggy. Definitely loving the lights from Aputure - these guys make great products!
