23.01.2022 Despite my personal thoughts on Covid, Driven will be following directives set out by the SA Gov - all those not 'essential' should stay home. As such, Driven will be closed until we are instructed otherwise, best case being Tue 24th Nov. We have made contact with all the jobs here that are able to go home today, all others like the rest of the state will be on pause. Those with existing bookings will be contacted once we know what/when we are allowed to work. We sincerely a...pologise for the inconvenience however it is obviously outside of our control. It's a great time to be in this game as we're seeing passionate clients and new owners diving deep to get and keep the old girls in check. Matt's 300zx has been on a solid rejuvination and maintenance schedule over the last year. Incl full suspension, injectors, major service, clutch, intake, Nistune and a lot of maintenance gear. 12.01.2022 We've been building to and planning for the next 6 months for a while now and the workshop has undergone the first change. We've added 3 more hoists (6 total) and moved them all to create better workflow and space. For the techy guys we have 2 new Rotary Lifts with Trio arms and of course colour coded to suit the Molnars and they bloody rock! Amazing level of adjustability! We also now have a hoist dedicated for our cars to help with motivation and progress ... 09.01.2022 Cam's Evo 8MR FQ300 It had a pretty hard life, the tired engine had some life forced into it with a build that kept to the original albeit upgraded specs with forged pistons and blue printing. Handed over a couple months back, it's all run in - driving and looking how it should. For those playin at home the FQ series is based on a modified 8MR chassis from the UK. Specs change but they all came with HKS bolt ons and interior changes with the upper tier sporting upgrades to... brakes and suspension also. A pretty rare and collectible car - done right. 08.01.2022 Damian's 8MR all run in and making an effortless 365kw atw The original engine grenaded in spectacular fashion whilst temporarily in someone elses control. It came back to us to fix it. And fix it we did. In short - New Evo 9 block, Nitto 2.2 Billet Stroker, ARP throughout, literally new everything, Aeroflow race sump, Intense 5656RS, Hypertune Ceramic coated manifold, Plazmaman Pro cooler kit, Oil cooler kit, ATP airbox, shield and catch can and the very noisey Tomei Ti C...atback. This car truly has evolved with us - engine package, wheels, suspension, paint and panel. I truly wish 6spd the best of luck. It's a good thing it's out of fuel pump. Once Damian is bored, a management and protection package, Artec 3.5" front half and fuelling upgrades will find their home on this now very well sorted and desirable 8MR. 06.01.2022 And we're out for 2020 I'm incredibly proud of our work this year, our largest year in terms of workload and builds resulting in hundreds of happy customers. It was a massive year of growth for us and the beginning of our long planned changes. The most humble of thanks to our customers for pushing us and for your patience as we (along with the rest of the world) dealt with major supply issues. Driven is a business that not only survived Covid but came out stronger. The up...side to all this covid crap is it has lit a fire in us to use as much Aussie product and supply as possible, keeping as many of our dollars here as possible. I feel every Australian should make positive change to spend their dollars in Australia with as many Australian owned companies as possible. We need to look out for and after ourselves. 05.01.2022 Damian's 8MR coming back together There's a story with this one. The moral of that story is - don't ignore specialist advice and take your car to a tuner that will happily ignore our findings to pop your motor out of greed and arrogance (big sentence I know ). We have the (fatal) dyno sheets to prove it. Damian came back to us to rectify the catastrophic failure. ... Brand new Evo 9 block, Blueprinted and balanced Nitto Billet 2.2L stroker, ARP mains studs, GSC Balance delete, Oil pump, Aeroflow gated sump, Nitto MLS Drag head gasket, ARP 625+ head studs, Supertech valve train, Kelford Cams, Hypertune ceramic coated manifold, Intense 5656RS turbo and all the required bits to replace the broken bits. This combo will happily spin to 9,000RPM and deliver 380+kw atw.
