21.01.2022 Experts predict a return to the boom days in the Perth property market! In a report published on 16th November by ANZ, economists are estimating a rise in Perth house prices! House prices are turning higher, helped by lower interest rates, substantial government stimulus and a bounce in confidence as the second wave of the pandemic comes under control, the report said. 20.01.2022 What a kitchen! I spoke with Sam Foti, the Owner of Acclaim Cabinets Sam helped design & make this kitchen at 24 Wasley St, Mt Lawley - currently FOR SALE! Below are his thoughts on this beautiful kitchen! What do you like most about this kitchen? The layout and functionality, it seems to flow well & the overhead cupboards above the window look great. They have push to open hinges which means no handles are needed, giving a clean modern look. All the cabinetr...y is vinyl wrapped, in your opinion, how does this compare to laminex? It mainly comes down to personal preference. However, the owners of this home loved the seamless look of the vinyl wrapping. With laminex there is a hairline join that can be seen on all corners & vinyl wrap doesnt have that. This home has all drawers under the bench & no cupboards (except under the sinks), is this something you usually recommend? Once again it depends on the individual, however draws tend to look nicer & are easier to store things in. Draws are more expensive to make & install, however they are also more functional for most people. These draws are on smooth tracks & are soft closing. In this home, the budget allowed for draws so we decided they would add value to the home. Did you assist with the alfresco kitchen design? Yes, I had a lot of input in the cabinetry that conceals the internal staircase leading to the master bedroom. If that cupboard wasnt there the underside of the staircase would be visible. We decided to make the most of this & use the space for external storage. If you open the doors youll see that the top shelves are shallow, which is where the staircase protrudes. Is a different type of cabinetry required for outdoor kitchens? Usually yes, a more compact laminate is required for waterproofing reasons. However, in this home the outdoor kitchen is sheltered from the weather so we were able to use classic ABS pre-refinished board. Acclaim Cabinets specialise in custom made cabinets.
