23.01.2022 I was a big skeptic when I was invited to train in robotic assisted surgery. Why spend all that extra money on fancy instruments when I can do my surgery with bipolar and scissors? An average uterus is the size of a cricket ball. This uterus was as big as a watermelon.... Cases like this are the reason I have become obsessed with da Vinci (the robot). This uterus was removed keyhole, with the assistance of the robot, and my lovely patient is sitting up eating and drinking and asking to go home within hours. (this patient kindly consented to the use of these images)
