25.01.2022 This morning a group of about 10 people attempted to block entrances to our mine camp, however our people and vehicles were able to use other access points allo...wing construction works to continue as normal. Police attended the site and removed the protestors. Some protestors were arrested. This type of protest is a pointless sideshow that wastes police resources and has no impact on the construction schedule for our mine or rail projects.

25.01.2022 Great news for North Queensland

23.01.2022 There is no federal, state or local government funding going towards the development of Adani’s roads. All levels of government have repeatedly stated this. Any claims to the contrary are false. Read more facts about Adani here: https://tinyurl.com/y2hrszkl

20.01.2022 North Queensland backed Adani, now we're backing your team.

20.01.2022 A Canadian anti-coal activist has been fined for assaulting one of our security guards during a protest on our rail site organised and publicised by Frontline A...ction on Coal (FLAC). Michael Kyneston pleaded guilty to assault in Clermont Magistrates Court yesterday and was fined $1,500. During the assault our security guard fell down an embankment and injured both of his wrists. The outcome of Mr Kyneston’s case debunks FLAC’s and other anti-coal activists’ myths that their protests are peaceful and respectful. No conviction was recorded. The charge carries a maximum penalty of seven years imprisonment. A second protestor, Sheridan Vautier, was also charged but she has since returned to home to Switzerland and failed to appear before the court via telephone. The personal opinions of anti-mining activists do not put them above the law, or give them the right to harass, intimidate or even physically assault people who are legally going about their work, just trying to earn a living.

20.01.2022 A great pic of some of our team taking part in a BBQ fundraiser at the Carmichael Mine site on the weekend. This month they’re raising money to go towards breast cancer research and so far have reached a tally of about $1,500

17.01.2022 A new day dawns at the Carmichael Mine project site. This week we’ve got about 150 workers on site, the numbers are steadily growing each week. Keep an eye out for our construction update later today!

16.01.2022 STATEMENT FROM ADANI: The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has taken into custody a number of anti-coal activists who assaulted one of our people today at our r...ail construction site north of Clermont. Adani will continue to provide any assistance required for QPS to complete its investigation. Our priority is the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors at all times. The contractor employee who was the subject of the physical assault, along with other employees present during the incident, are being attended to and supported. As we have repeatedly said, everyone is entitled to voice their opinion provided they do so in a way that is legal, safe and respectful, and does not put themselves, employees, contractors or community members in harm’s way. Actions taken today by anti-coal activists were not peaceful or safe, and put simply this type of behaviour is unacceptable. Activities on our rail site are continuing in line with our construction delivery schedule along with the construction works on the mine site.

15.01.2022 We have all worked for someone with a big ego!

15.01.2022 Thinking about applying for a job at our Carmichael Project Mine site? The camp facility is equipped with a gym, comfortable rooms, on-site chefs and leisure areas complete with pool tables.

15.01.2022 This morning anticoal activists have thrown rocks and kicked the doors of cars and utes belonging to people working on our Carmichael Project as they travelled... to work this morning. Another protestor has chained themselves to a cattle grid along the Stratford Road near the railway corridor where construction is underway. We have notified police. It is unacceptable that anti-coal activists are harassing our people and attempting to damage their personal vehicles as they are travelling to work. While everyone is welcome to have their own opinions, these should be expressed in a way that is legal and does not threaten others or prevent them going about their day to day business. This is another example of the Stop Adani movement and Front Line Action on Coal engaging in anti-social behaviour and dangerous behaviour.

11.01.2022 Construction work on our Carmichael site was back up and running early yesterday afternoon, after the two protestors who suspended themselves from poles let themselves down when the temperature started to climb. Police were on site and arrested them and we got on with the job!

11.01.2022 Activists attempted to stop 150 people at the Carmichael camp this morning from either getting to work, or going home to their families for some well-deserved R...&R at the end of their rostered shifts. Activists attempted to block the gates to our camp earlier this morning but we were quickly able to open an alternate access for our people. While it’s a headache for our people, it’s just a sideshow that hasn’t slowed down construction on the Carmichael Project. We’re getting on with the job. See more

08.01.2022 #MythbustingMonday. There are claims that the Carmichael Mine & Rail Project will adversely affect the Great Barrier Reef. Fact: The mine is located approximate...ly 350km inland from the Great Barrier Reef with all coal loaded at Abbot Point Coal Terminal, which is 50km from the Reef. Each berth at the Terminal has a ship loader equipped with dust control features, to safely and securely load the coal into the cargo hold which is then securely sealed. All ships transporting coal from Abbot Point transit through existing shipping channels. These are approved shipping zones and are governed by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

08.01.2022 Data from Queensland’s ports shows that Queensland’s resources sector continues to break records, with 226 million tonnes of coal exported to customers across t...he world in FY19-20. We are please to announce that the Abbot Point Operations (APO) team contributed a total of 31.96 million tonnes of coal to Queensland’s recording-breaking throughput year with APO breaking their own loading record by a whopping 3.02 million tonnes. This tremendous result comes on the heels of the Queensland Department of Environment and Science monitoring progress report that showed no signs of environmental harm in the Caley Valley Wetlands - a welcome result for every one of APO’s 180 employees.
