24.01.2022 Here’s to each and everyone of you. Hope you’ve had the best day possible - in whatever form that may be

23.01.2022 This is an excellent for some of you. Clinpath have also advised us that they are happy for you to do the ‘waiting’ at the 28 week glucose test in the car - and go inside the lab for the blood tests

22.01.2022 Such an amazing man with many achievements. All at Attunga O&G wish him the very best in his retirement

20.01.2022 All surgery will be recommencing as of tomorrow as scheduled. Please be aware that as our rooms are within the hospital masks will be needed for in rooms appointments. Please contact us if you think this will be a concern for any reason

20.01.2022 Well what a week .... For those of you with phone consults on Monday they will stay that way due to logistics For those with phone consults Tuesday we will cal you on Monday and work out the best plan of attack For those that had appointments put on hold we will be contacting you ASAP to reschedule However - we must remember that there is still an outbreak of Covid 19 in the community so we must be extra careful and the next few weeks will be super important to clearing it from the community.

18.01.2022 Please read below and let me know if you have any questions. Also please note that nitrous oxide gas is now available for use once again

17.01.2022 Following the Cabinet Meeting today, the Prime Minister announced that elective surgery will gradually restart next week. This is fantastic news for all our pa...tients and we look forward to receiving clarity around the conditions of recommencement of IVF treatment. If you are a new patient considering commencing a fertility journey, our specialists continue to provide appointments via telephone/Skype. Please call us on (08) 8100 2900 to arrange an appointment. If you are a patient who was unable to commence your treatment because of these restrictions, please call us to discuss arrangements for you to begin your cycle. We would once again like to thank all our patients for their understanding and patience during these difficult times. We know this has been a very distressing time for you all and are so happy that there is now light at the end of the tunnel.

14.01.2022 Happy 60th Birthday to my very hard working midwife Liz. Not quite the birthday you had imagined but one to remember. I’m sure all our patients join with me in thanking you for your efforts to keep the practice functioning with phone calls and information relays back and forth. I couldn’t do it without you. Happy Birthday

14.01.2022 This is an exceptionally good read about Vaectomy’s. For those that have completed their children and considering the long term options.

13.01.2022 Well it was a bit of a tough day at the office today ... Buts it’s days like these where the outstanding work of the midwives comes to the front and makes such a difference. No doubt obstetricians are only as good as the team that works along side them - no matter what

11.01.2022 Well I’m not sure we will get to this in Adelaide - but how totally gorgeous

11.01.2022 Would be great if we could all wear some crazy socks on Friday

10.01.2022 Just another quick update ... Masks within the hospital are no longer compulsory .... you may certainly chose to wear one if you wish but you will be allowed in without one Visits for this week are still patient only

09.01.2022 Remember if you have a face to face visit booked with us in the next week you will need to wear a mask - all our staff will be wearing one too

09.01.2022 Just to keep you all updated - Burnside hospital has moved on the compulsory wearing of masks a day early. This means that anyone coming in to the rooms today will need a mask on that needs to be worn in the hospital at all times. As many of you may have heard from yesterday’s SA Health press conference - wearing a mask will be compulsory in a health care facility as of 1/12/20 until further notice.

08.01.2022 Just to keep everyone updated about the maternity visitor restrictions - as of today 2 people are allowed to visit per day (anytime, for however long they like, can come and go) and these 2 people are allowed to be different each day (rather than the same 2 for the whole stay as it has been). Sibling visits remain unchanged at this stage. We are still awaiting an update on antenatal classes and are considering doing some in our rooms as an adjunct if the hospital is unable to find a platform that is suitable/acceptable - stay tuned

06.01.2022 This is 100% accurate

05.01.2022 Another day another update. Everyone will need a bit of patience over the next few days whilst we figure all the new directives out ... For those coming into the rooms you will need to check in at the front of the hospital as usual but now you will need to scan the the MySAGov app for the QR code check in. We have been advised that as the hospital will have one we don’t need another one at our front door (phew!!). Single use 3 ply hospital masks are now required as per SA He...alth - cloth masks are not ok ..... Whilst we will need to see how it plays out in the hospital the directive does say that mask need to be worn by EVERYONE whilst in the presence of others (presumably non family) - however I can only assume that this won’t apply in labour for those deemed at low risk of covid (which to be fair should be everyone that gets through the front door as if you are high risk you will be diverted elsewhere) .... I don’t really understand this change to be fair but I don’t get to decide what we do If anyone has any concerns about this please call our rooms in the morning - a phone consult is always an option in the next few weeks - hopefully it won’t last longer than that Hang in there peeps - we are all in this together Addit - the Apple version of the app won’t be ready until tomorrow afternoon so before then it’s a manual sign in or a normal QR scanner will work and you get redirected to the sa gov site to put in your info See more

04.01.2022 I’ve just been listening in to the Obstetric College webinar on covid 19 and pregnancy. Quite an excellent and informative discussion. Take home points: 1. There is no evidence of an increased chance of catching Covid 19 in pregnancy 2. There is no increased risk of miscarriage, preterm labour, abnormal fetal growth or abnormalities in the baby... 3. If you catch covid in the 3rd trimester then you are at a higher risk of needing hospital support (compared with the 1st and 2nd trimester) but this is the same for most viruses and infections so shouldn’t cause any particular worry 4. The placenta doesn’t seem capable of being able to pass the virus to the baby - this is quite different to many other viruses where it can So this is all really good news. As time moves on we get more information which is all so far really reassuring. Everyone involved in obstetric care is trying hard to do their best in an altered environment and trying to hard to make the experience the best that we can

03.01.2022 Thanks Mandy xx

03.01.2022 Worth a look if you think this could be you

01.01.2022 It’s time to be a bit more cautious again. Remembering hard to wash your hands and be mindful of where you go - trying hard to be physically separated where able. This is particularly important in the last 4-6 weeks of your pregnancy when it’s most important from a health and delivery perspective.
