23.01.2022 Sorry weve been a little quiet on social media lately. Thats because we are so busy cleaning and putting our COVID-19 procedures in place creating the clean...est and safest environment possible in our office. But YES we are open! The Federal Health Minister, the Hon Greg Hunt MP, confirmed this morning that ALL allied health businesses nationally can continue working and are encouraged to do so. But we dont take this responsibility lightly. We assure you we are 1.Making all people who enter our building wash their hands immediately 2. Disinfecting all treatment tables, chairs, door handles & surfaces in treatment rooms and waiting room between all patients 3. Practitioners are washing hands thoroughly between all patient visits 4. Encouraging tap only card payments 5.Asking all people who are unwell in any way to reschedule their appointment 6.Spacing appointment times out to minimise people in waiting room & allow time for extra cleaning 7.Sending all forms online to reduce any contact with stationary 8.We have removed all magazines, toys, business cards and any unnecessary items in the office (except for our plants who are purifying our air ) 9.We also ask that you please only come a few minutes early for your appointment to wash your hands and if you are late please call us to see if we can still fit you in as we may need to change your time. If you have any questions please let us know. We are here for you as long as we can be . See more

19.01.2022 Corona Virus Sucks! lock down 2.0 sucks! Its undeniable that there are so many horrible and annoying things about what is going on in the world right now. Im really lucky I have my job and I dont have to home school kids but Im really sick of the media, the over emotive reporting and sensationalising of everything. Im sick of the negativity and anger! Its ok to not be ok, and we are all going to have bad days but I get really frustrated at the media and all the other ...people that benefit from all the unnecessary scare tactics! We need to be careful, we need to be responsible but being angry and negative isnt good for us either. Our thoughts & mindset are so important for our health and wellbeing so lets focus on what we can do ourselves to make our current life more positive, happier & better. Soooo.... my goal for lock down 2.0 is to post all of the positives that come from this time. I encourage everyone to also think about what they are grateful for at the moment and share what they are loving about lockdown. Im Starting with having more time in lock down allowed me to make sausage rolls for the first time ever on the weekend . And they were delicious!! Thanks to @sdprotocol for the recipe!!! #behappy #wereinthistogether #positivevibes #makethemostofit #wewillgetthroughthis See more

16.01.2022 STAGE 4 RESTRICTIONS UPDATE!!!! Unfortunately we have had recent communications with the Australian Chiropractic Association and AHPRA (Australian Health Practi...tioner Regulation Agency) that all Allied Health practitioners, including Chiropractic care is not permitted to perform routine care and can only operate for emergency care during current stage 4 restrictions. If you have an appointment booked over the next 5 weeks, we will be in contact with you to reschedule your appointment to after September 14th. We know this may be difficult & inconvenient for many people, however CURRENTLY ONLY EMERGENCY CHIROPRACTIC CARE IS AVAILABLE. IF YOU DO REQUIRE AN EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT YOU DO NOT NEED A REFERRAL FROM YOUR GENERAL PRACTITIONER FOR AN APPOINTMENT & 5KM TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS DO NOT APPLY FOR HEALTH CARE. STATEMENT FROM THE VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT OF WHO CAN RECEIVE CHIROPRACTIC CARE: Stage 4 restrictions are aligned to Victorias current State of Disaster and are understandably focused on saving and protecting the lives of all Victorians through restricting non-essential movement across the state. For this reason, in areas where stage 4 restrictions apply, care must only be provided if the absence of, or delay of this care, would result in a significant change/deterioration in the patient/clients functional independence necessitating escalation of care. Examples provided by the DHHS of when it is appropriate for care to be provided to a patient include the following: * To avoid a requirement for specialist input/review * To avoid an increase in care needs and/or alternate accommodation * To avoid a hospital admission or emergency department presentation. For this reason, care should only be provided if it is considered essential for the next 6 weeks and where not receiving care is likely to lead to a significant deterioration in the health or wellbeing of the patient. In all other circumstances you must not see a patient for a face-to-face consultation. THIS IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT! Please be in touch with us if you need anything, even if its just a chat .

16.01.2022 Do you need some recipe inspo for dinner? This super salad is tasty, filling and full of healthy goodness . Mix all of the following in a bowl and eat as ...required. Serves approx 4-6 depending on how hungry you are. - 1 handful each of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flaked almonds & dried cranberries. - 2 cups spinach chopped - 2 cups cooked quinoa - 1 can of cooked lentils - 2 cups each of roasted cauliflower & pumpkin - 1 cup blanched green beans - 1 cup chopped coriander And for the dressing mix olive oil, lime juice, seeded mustard, salt & pepper to taste (approx 1/3 cup) I hope you enjoy this as much as I do . You can chop & change any veggies, nuts etc that you have in your cupboard or use black or brown rice instead of quinoa. Get creative and clean our all your bits and pieces in the fridge and cupboard. Pomegranate is great when in season instead of dried cranberries. 09.01.2022 Are you one of the millions of Australians working from home suffering from neck pain, back pain or headaches? This spinal health week we are sharing the message that this doesnt have to be the normal for you! Why not #considerachiro ? Get in touch with us if you have any questions of how we can help 9572 0277.

07.01.2022 Lets talk about poo!!! Firstly, were not what we eat. were what we absorb!! If you have gut issues such as gas/farting, diarrhoea, constipation, bloating,... fatigue, abdominal pain, discomfort and nausea, there is a very good chance your gut issues are reducing the absorption of nutrients from the food youre eating. If we dont absorb all the nutrients we eat, we are missing out on many important vitamins, minerals, fibre, fats and carbohydrates that our body needs. If our gut isnt healthy and functioning at its optimum, this is when we start to see hormonal issues, mood disorders (anxiety, depression etc), thyroid problems, weight issues, skin issues, poor immune system, high stress and fatigue. just to name a few! This is why when you see a nutritionist, there will always be some element of gut healing! Because our gut is linked to everything! So, what does a normal poo look like?? 1-2 bowel movements daily (at the same time every day). Your poo should be formed, not hard, not soft and easy to pass. There shouldnt be any pain or straining. You shouldnt see any blood or mucus. You should feel completely empty/finished. Your poo should sink to the bottom of the bowl (and not float). Floating stools indicate fat malabsorption and/or your body is producing too much gas. There shouldnt be any toilet skid marks on the bowl. You should only need to wipe your bottom once. You should be only in the toilet for a maximum of 2 minutes. If your poo isnt normal or youre experiencing any gut issues, then book in for consultation with our Clinical Nutritionist Alex. Alex is available for consultations on Wednesdays 2-7pm. So, call us now on 9572 0277 to make an appointment
