22.01.2022 We have a new online booking system and often with new things there are teething problems. So.... if you have in your diary an appointment and don’t receive an automated reminder PLEASE MESSAGE ME. If you receive an automated reminder message and DO NOT have it in your diary PLEASE MESSAGE ME ... It will help us so much work out where a few little glitches have originated from.

21.01.2022 Great advise from a source that really understands adrenal and thyroid health. If you want more info on the adrenal cocktail DM me

20.01.2022 Busy is an understatement. I have 20 appointments left for the year. To my regular patients please think ahead if you don’t already have appointments in place. #busy #endofyear #madness #osteopathy

19.01.2022 So important to reads for some of my thyroid patients.

18.01.2022 I’m signing off for an extra long long weekend. Back in the office Tuesday 6/10 bright eyed and bushy tailed. It’s been a wonderful month settling into my new home clinic. Everyone loves the space as indeed I do. Stay safe friends. ... Lisa x #osteopathy #osteopathicmedicine #longweekend See more

16.01.2022 Having just read a research study by an Australian University on female specific training it became clear that it’s not necessarily the type of resistance training that’s important (that is heavy vs lighter or specific muscle groups vs compound exercises) but rather the frequency of the training that yields the best results. * So in usual Lisa form I am going to conduct an experiment on myself . Currently I am training with weights in a circuit style session 2x/week with... Laura from @transformwithlawz . As I am time poor and still recovering from Hashimoto’s disease (follow my personal page @drlisabacktohealth ) I am going to add 3x 15-20 minutes resistance bands sessions to this. That means I am doing something 5x/week). Not crazy stuff just awakening those muscles with 4 exercises 10 reps for 2 rounds. * I’ll post some videos as I progress. The more I read about the science around resistance band training the more I am inspired to use this style more and more. Let’s see what progress I can make. How do YOU train? #resistancebands #resistancebandsworkout #femalespecifictraining #musclebuilding #osteopathy #osteopathicmedicine #functionalfitnesstraining #rehabitilation #osteopathyworks

16.01.2022 My first group EMS session with the lady who roped me into this a week ago. We had fun with our teenage mutant ninja turtle suits on. Trying to contract muscles whilst having them contracted for us with the EMS suit AND breath AND not laugh too hard as your abs get next level switched on. Last week I made the mistake of under estimating the power of these sessions. I trained albeit only what I would consider a moderate session each day after my Monday session and by Fri...day was a fatigued mess. Ah the joys of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. I had been feeling so amazing I thought I could do more. Well with this training it’s recommended to NOT attempt any intense training for 48 hours. I now understand first hand why. This week I will only walk till Thursday. Let’s see I recover this week. @fastrakfit #fastrakfitness #emstraining #hashimtosdisease #restandrecover #osteopathy #osteopathicmedicine #rehabilitation #osteopathyworks #fixyourbackpain #backpain

16.01.2022 As I write my last clinical notes before I head off on leave for my xmas holiday I want to THANK YOU. Thank you to all my wonderful loyal patients for what seems to have been a year that has challenged us all. For me personally it has been my most transformative year. In fact I am grateful for 2020 for pushing me to look within, to start more self care strategies and to prioritise my needs before others..Healer heal thy self. This has been my mantra for the year and I feel so... blessed for the lessons of the year, albeit a few tears a few internal tantrums but a more authentic Lisa who continually fills her cup so she can be available to YOU in a present, whole and giving manner. I hope (with my fingers crossed) that as I jump on a plane tomorrow to visit my Mumma bear and extended family that I will return to you all rested, loved and ready to give you my best for next year. See you on the other side of Xmas Lisa xx

15.01.2022 As a person who has this diagnosis I can attest to the game changer in managing Hashimoto's to be just this...balancing ones blood sugar.

15.01.2022 My patients know what a Dr Joe fan that I am.

13.01.2022 Thanks Next practice erina for the reminder

11.01.2022 Following these guidelines has been the game changer for me personally healing my thyroid condition....and meditation...

10.01.2022 How profound this is. I spend my entire working days with my hands on others and today I had the blessing to receive from an incredibly gifted woman @pocketangel11 Today I created space for myself for no reason other than I just felt like I needed someone else’s hands on ME. ... What I received was a profound experience words do no justice other than wow am I ready to help you in your healing journey. My cup is super full of grace , joy and love for life so I’m looking forward to being back to work tomorrow with my cup overflowing. #healthyself #cupoverflowing #gratitude #opentoreceive #love #joy #healing #healingjourney

09.01.2022 I have been asked lately what has been the most important thing I did to heal myself from an autoimmune disorder. Without a doubt stress reduction in the form... of meditation. I know right you’re thinking okay sure but I can’t meditate. I can’t keep still. I can’t clear my mind. ! Believe me my mind has a tendency to be super speedy. I can concentrate but I have an active enquiring mind. The meditations I follow and in fact the man I follow is Dr Joe Dispenza. He has so much scientific data to back up what happens during his guided meditations when done regularly. So...check out his website www.drjoedispenza.com. Perseverance is key. I took me 7 weeks of daily practice before I even vaguely entered into the field...the space where all the magic happens. The place where I finally felt my brain relax. I remember that space easily now. Practice practice practice. Thank you @lighterlivingwellness for igniting the enquiring mind I have to pursue and ultimately change my life. #drjoedispenza #meditationpractice #meditation #healthyself #calmmind #calm #quietenthemind

06.01.2022 So humbled to have been given the opportunity to share my love of Osteopathy with this wonderful woman Barbara Hoi who is doing so much for adults and children with dyslexia

05.01.2022 I ticked all these boxes a few years ago ....then was finally diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder affecting my thyroid. Rest regulating blood sugar and time off training healed all that.

04.01.2022 As per NSW gov and Australian Osteopathic Association regulations it is now required you check in on your arrival to my clinic via the Service NSW QR code process. Please bring your smart phone with you to streamline this process as you attend your appointment. Let’s stay safe and look after each other. #covidsafebusiness #lookaftereachother #osteopathy

01.01.2022 I recommend this drink to so many of my patients. Here is a read of the why..Enjoy
