15.01.2022 When Covid-19 started and every speaking engagement, event, and workshop suddenly got cancelled it hit me hard. All that momentum lost in a heartbeat. Of course I'm self aware enough to recognise the world's problems are greater and more important than mine...so while there was downtime I designed my Dr Liz website and some free resources. 08.01.2022 I was EXPELLED* from school when I was 13 years old. *Technically I was "asked to leave", but we all know that's just a euphemism for being "expelled". Here is how that has made me better at my job...... 1. I know what it feels like to be a square peg trying to fit in a round hole 2. I know what it feels like to get excluded 3. I have VERY high expectations for being engaged in a learning experience that is interesting, relevant and practical 4. I have experienced how the right environment can make all the difference to a person's ability to thrive (or not) www.thedrliz.com PS.
