23.01.2022 #FlashbackFriday Here is Dr Lucas' original sign from his medical practice in Melbourne when he first arrived in Australia (circa late 1800s). We love that his hours at first glance look like he had work / life balance sorted but more likely he was conducting hospital rounds and seeing surgical / wound care patients during the day. What he would think of today's pace of life? Have a great weekend! #FBF

22.01.2022 Big thanks to Dr Ian Morrison (who shares an uncanny resemblance to Dr Lucas) and all the team at Medland Dental in Brisbane for all the wonderful care they provide to the community. They have been soothing patients' lips with Lucas' Papaw Ointment for over 20 years (maybe longer?)!

17.01.2022 Big thanks to all the veterinarians! Of the many professions doing it tough this year, the lovely veterinarians who care for our pets are experiencing disproportionate mental health challenges from depression, anxiety and burnout. They are often confronted with devastating animal health conditions, they are not always able to meet customer expectations, pet owners are experiencing high financial hardship and euthanasia is a challenging part of everyday. We have been very pleased to support an upcoming wellness conference for vets and hope they know how much we love and appreciate the work that they do for our best friends.

16.01.2022 Lucas’ Papaw Remedies has been so glad to help out the Junior Doctors at Western Health in Victoria with gifts of our papaw ointment. Here’s some lovely feedback we have received ... "As you can imagine wearing a mask all day can really dry out your skin and lips so the papaw was a very welcome surprise. Keep up the great work and thanks for everything that you do! Western Junior Doctor Society (RMO)

10.01.2022 #flashbackfriday Here's May Talbot (Dr Lucas' Grand-daughter) packing Lucas' Papaw Ointment by hand in the 1950s. Now the process is fully automated, sterile, quality controlled and registered. How times have changed! Back breaking work. #FBF

10.01.2022 Well done to all the amazing team at the Austin Paediatric department in Melbourne Austin Health. Thank you for all your tireless work and care that you give to children and their families. We hope our small gift helps soothe your lips and skin especially with all the extra PPE you've had to wear. Best wishes to you and your families from ours.

10.01.2022 Another bit of lovely feedback from the Junior Doctors at Western Health in Victoria ... "Raising morale is one of our highest priorities and you have definitely helped us in that regard." Thank you to all the amazing Doctors, Nurses and Care-Givers in our communities everywhere. We are happy to help out in some small way. Western Junior Doctor Society (RMO)

10.01.2022 #FlashbackFriday A lot has changed in the past 20 years we now send our ointment around the world, we are listed on the TGA as a therapeutic product and we have super wiz bang machines but we still peel our fresh Queensland papaws by hand! Here’s Lynette in 1997 (standing), our General Manager and Dr Lucas’ Great-Great-Grandaughter alongside other members of our team and family preparing the papaws for fermentation. #FBB #Lucaspapawremedies

08.01.2022 #throwbackthursday Here is an extract from Dr Lucas' last will and testament from 1917 (bit hard to read sorry) ... "This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Pennington Lucas Medical Practitioner of Vera Pawpaw Hospital New Farm ... it is my wish that the wonderful virtues and remedies which I have discovered and prepared in connection with pawpaw should become a world trust for the good of humanity ..." We are sure he would be delighted to know how far reaching the little red tubes and tubs have come and that five generations later we are still living out his legacy. #TBT

06.01.2022 #TBT First we were the "red tin" then we were the "red tube" but we've always been Lucas' Papaw Remedies for over 110 years. Happy #ThrowbackThursday to you and your family from ours.

04.01.2022 #ThrowBackThursday Now that's what we call a hat! Here is Dr Lucas' original pith helmet from the late 1800s. "Often worn when working outdoors as a sun and rain helmet to protect from the elements and to allow for air circulation around the head. Typically made of cork and covered in pith." Perfect for researching the wonderful healing benefits of papaw and even better when worn with a safari suit! #TBT

02.01.2022 Keep up the great work Ricky!

02.01.2022 Great work Sharon!
